Crazy how Jimmy Butlers game tying shot with 4.2 seconds is completely forgotten. 76ers had all the momentum if it went into overtime and i still believe they would have won. But Kawhi turned out to be even more clutch
It certainly doesn’t take bounces of the ball to drop for the world to explode, but this one was different. This was the best game 7 I’ve ever seen played, and Kawhi put together one of the greatest playoff runs in the history of the league
That shot by Kawhi Leonard, the bounce on the rim and then it went in was amazing! The crowd went crazy, even though my Warriors lost, I gotta give the Raptors their respect and say they never won a Championship. So I'm happy for them for that reason, they had the defense and players offensively that could score not just Kawhi but Lowry and Vavleet.
kawhi was an absolute fucking moster this season He was pulling up everytime he had space at 3 point line bro was pulling up like there was no tomorrow This season was when he was most confident in his career
As a Raptors fan from day 1 the 2019 Championship run was absolutely INCREDIBLE. From going to games in the then SkyDome in 1995-96 to winning it all in 2019 was a magical experience.
everybody talks about Kawhis buzzer beater and rightfully so, but this layup by Siakam 1:17 when he was off balance, given the circumstances of the game, is an incredibly clutch shot to make
Ibaka and Marc Gasol were the key. They matched up very well against East's best bigs in Embiid and Giannis. They also outlasted Warriors at the end where both teams accumulated injuries but Warriors got worse.
@@iwantiguodala4404 kyrie hit it with like 2 hours left this was literally a storybook buzzerbeater. 4 bounces, barely got it off, and ssending a doubted team to the conference finals where they went on to win a championship
Even if I wasn't a Raptors fan, this goes down as one of the best games in modern NBA history. The utter drama, the skill and talent coming up clutch for both teams, the raucous Scotiabank Arena, and those last 10 seconds of play with a buzzer beater that would seem improbable if Hollywood wrote the script. Not to mention, on the Canadian broadcast, they showed Kawhi breaking his stoic exterior for just a few moments in joy, surprise, and shock over what just happened. Obviously, being a Raptors fan makes it even more special and it could be seen as a seminal moment in the 2019 championship run in the same vein as the Toronto Blue Jays' Roberto Alomar hitting his home run in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series: they're both seen as the turning point in the playoff run that eventually led to their championships. And I can certainly feel for the Philadelphia fans who were heartbroken and in shock and being on the losing end of that epic moment, in a similar way that Philadelphia was on the losing end of Joe Carter's 1993 World Series clincher.
Why the NBA randomly post this? 🤔 They need to start posting more short clips of classic games like game 7 of the 2001 76ers vs Raptors series where Vince Carter missed the last shot. There's tons of videos on TH-cam of this already.
Terrific layup by Butler to tie at the end. In retrospect, Jimmy Butler showed he was that dude and could go toe to toe with guys like Kawhi and LeBron in the bubble, Sixers never should have let him go. Butler has been one of the best playoff players again this year.
One single season is going to get a player (Kawhi Leonard) his jersey hanging in the rafters, and MAYBE even a statue outside of the arena he played in for 1 year. This has to be some type of unbreakable record in pro sports.
Looking back on it the sizers had so many good players I think it was either bad coaching or just not being able to find the chemistry to tap into playoff jimmy
As A Sixers fan this just feels like a slap in the face, I’ve seen it so many times and at this point I’m just trying to focus on the future of this team..

Kawhi Leonard will forever be a Toronto Raptors legend for this game winning shot.

They better put his number up. He gave them a ring and a shot they will remember forever
