Thank you for creating such a great video.
Sir, I need to create barrel cam which can travel 6inch in one direction and same for reverse i.e. total 12 inch linear motion. Sir, I would appreciate if you could help me with what should be the minimum diameter x length of barrel required.
Sir i need to submit a project so if you could update your base design and provide me ipt will help me a lot.

You should not need to change the diameter of the barrel. Just lengthen it to 7 applications or so inches and make the groove with 0.5" buffer on each side.
