I find this interesting as I am a student going into 9th grade. Something I wanna understand is why teachers don't get paid more because they form our society and help our kids grow into adults and they are under-estimated. Love your classroom it looks so nice and organized! ❤️
HeyIt'sEmily hey I’m going into 10th grade and let me tell you this now what your teachers are saying that your teachers won’t help you when you’re in highschool and you have to do work on your own time and they won’t give you extra days isn’t a lie. Don’t do it last minute and don’t let your grade drop, first semester I had 4 f’s I only passed 2 of my classes first semester. Don’t be a me😂😂😂
HeyIt'sEmily it's because public schools are paid by the state.The more people who live with in the district the more money teachers get paid and the more items that are paid for.This is because the people pay taxes for the school.

I miss elementary school bc the teachers decorate the classrooms. In middle and high school they just give up.
Izzy Wilson i think its because, in elementary school, you learn most of the subjects in your homeschool, and in highschool/middleschool, you have different periods.

I agree - wait to see whether the family association can help, or to see if there's an allotment for supplies in a budget from the school funds. Also, watch for deals and treasures at goodwill and thrift stores. As teachers retire, they often donate remaining paper goods - banners, cards, folders, and ribbons and stamping supplies.

Wow...looking at your classroom makes me realize why I teach high school LOL! My husband teaches elementary and he is ALWAYS planning and preparing his classroom!

Beautiful Classroom-I love teaching second grade ! I'm sad that you spend so much of your own money to do your job. I recently left the profession -I spent too much throughout the years-make sure you have a yearly budget!!!!!! And remember you and your family first ! Think about your retirement , your own children(s) college fund, home and travel experience (I believe that some of the best teachers are travelers) these bins, and classroom materials add up invest in yourselves first as teachers. Just some advice from someone who is now on a different journey !

Funny, at the end of this school year, all that money and time spent has certainly been paying her back. Plus, I imagine that when Michelle becomes a mama, she'll go above and beyond for her own children. I'm not worried! !!!

This is a beautiful classroom. It shows your level of dedication on your part to ensure that your students do well. No matter where you are in the world it seems that teachers spend a lot of their money to make their classrooms conducive for learning and most of all a FUN place to learn.

I love your classroom! It looks exactly like what I have been envisioning for my future classroom (I'll be a first year teacher next fall). I keep hearing that I should just "make it through" my first year, but I'm having a hard time accepting that my first classroom won't be what I envision. How long has it taken for you to build up your classroom supplies and find organizational systems that work for your classroom?
For any new teachers reading this, don’t buy too much because you don’t know exactly how you’ll work at first. Move and live in your classroom and you will naturally learn what items will make your life easier. But ty first to see what your school can purchase.
This is the most amazing classroom I've ever seen. I find it odd that you can keep a kureg in your classroom, and that breakfast is delivered to the kids. Where I live if you showed up really early to school you could pay for breakfast in the cafeteria. If not, oh well.

I was doing some course work and got distracted by researching some terms and what do you know... you're channel pops up and I've been here for an hour! I LOVE the way you organized your classroom! +Rachel Preston, I'm not a school teacher but I do run clubs for kids ages 6 to 11 here in the UK. I have found that Ikea and Poundland are quite good places for buying items to help me get organised. I had no idea about what I could get in Poundland until I watched some people who do dollar tree haul videos, and then discovered they sell a lot of the same stuff in Poundland here in the UK. We don't get nearly as much selection, but it is worth checking with them regularly. I do find that if I see something I have to get it there and then as they don't always make it a regular stock item. It is also work checking their website from time to time also, you can buy online and get delivered but they do take about a week to process and deliver your order, so don't make last minute orders.

Let me just say that now that I have been moved to second grade I have been gaining so much inspiration from your room! I must say that trying to find those black Big Lots book bins have been very difficult. I have finally gathered enough that I think I will need but I went to over 4 differ stores and even checked online and they have been sold out. I just really like the idea of using them for my bigger books.

I LOVE my School. It is a small Charter school with a smaller room. I am so in love with your cabinets. I have two medium size cabinets and that is all.

I am 7th grade and as hallful tip putting a lost and found in your will classroom will help because from what I have found when I was in 2nd grade was that i always lost thing. Another thing I would do is to try to make sure that everything they use in class has the name on it. I love your classroom and I am planing on be among a teacher so thanks for all the ideas.
