Cheapest combo I currently own is probably around $120 . An inexpensive Shimano spinning reel and a low end Shimano rod . With the amount of fishing I do I don’t typically buy cheaper gear . It just doesn’t last .
@ for reels I don’t spend more than $200 rods about $130 max . I feel this is the best value ( at least for me ) my favorite rods are under $100 ( 13 Fishing )
@Oldbasshole I agree, after a certain price it doesn't feel that much better that it's worth the difference in price. You like 13fishing rods? I have a reel, quite decent, but I've always been curious about the rods!
Wow, I just ordered a bunch of lures and terminal off Temu and I have to say it matches the quality of some high end stuff and I also bought an ultralight reel that works like a dream and can cast better than the Okuma one I had before it 😂
A lot of the tackle I'd actually really good, some hooks are superb for a fraction of the price! I think the only problem with some products is going to be durability to be honest. This reel I was using feels way smoother than my Shimano Sienna, but the Sienna is a tank and made to last. But for the price of some stuff we can't really go wrong, even if it's just last a year 😅
To be honest, I think my perch season is nearly over as I struggle a lot to catch them during the winter 😔 I'll still try anyway, you never know! Well done, at least you're catching something mate 👏
@ honestly mate this comment was supposed to be for the video I watched before this one auto played, you didn’t do that bad! Especially for cheap cheap gear too! Have a try finding some chub mate in shallow rivers with some flow 😁😁
I always struggle to catch chub around here mate. I had a PB the other day but really random 😅 I could try some other rivers next to me but I'm sure I'll be catching trout 😂
@@zombiebitefishing yeah there is the issue of catching trout, but this could also make for good content showing viewers what you are supposed to do under EA guidelines when you get into that situation, swiftly return without taking a selfie with it and then move swim, I think there is a specific distance like 100 yards, could make for a good video mate 😊😊
My cheapest combo is a trout combo, i think around 45€. But the Quantum reel is not that great. Tackle from Aliexpress can get you much more bang for your buck.
Thanks a lot buddy! Haha I love to do these cheap gear challenges, but there's nothing like using proper gear I totally agree. Even if it's a £100 combo, the difference is massive 😁
What's your cheapest rod and reel combo?? 🎣

@ I’ve got several. Crankbait rod , swimbait , frog and a couple others . Great bang for your buck

I like my sougayilang reels better than my Shimano and Mitchell 😊
I spent £10 on a lure and lost it to a snag
That literally happened to me the other day haha £10 straight in to a tree at the start of the session, first time using it 😅
Awesome challenge bro, some nice Perch there! 🔥👏 It goes to show, it's not all about the price!
Thanks a lot brother! 100%, it helps in some cases and definitely feels better, but £10.90 is surreal for a combo ready to fish isn't it??😊
Well done Carlos 👏 👏 👏
Thanks a lot bro 🙏
I’m struggling to catch perch at the moment, only seem to get chub, don’t give up! They are much much easier to catch when it’s warmer

Also, tiny tiny 25-30mm crank baits the chub love them when they drift into their direction
My last rods from aliexpress are purelure zero, amazing rod, and mifine microbite ajing, still waiting.
I only heard great things about those rods, I bet they're really good!
How much was the fishing gear again?
£10.90 😂😂😂
Great video m8 where were u fishing ?????
Thanks mate. Manchester ship canal.
Great content dude 👍
Thanks a lot buddy 😁

Yeah Quantum is decent, I have a Quantum reel too. True, A Kingdom or a Tsurynoia reel from Ali will definitely be a good option!
I Bro 👍 📹
Nice perch on a
Chep set up
Thank you bro 💪😁
Awesome video dude. Its very true you dont need expensive setups. But they sure are the bolox to use. 😂 🎣

Who needs a shimano Aldebaran bfs....just use £10 Ali....🎉
Haha cheap gear FTW 💪😁 With that said, I'm accepting an Adebaran for Christmas if someone wants to be generous 😅😂😂
@zombiebitefishing I've heard your on Santa's naughty list so no Aldebaran bfs for you ha! 😉
@@ianbourne9970haha I know, I'm not even expecting one 😢😢😢
