We'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels, V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.
We found several nice Early Jefferson Nickels in this $100 bank box hunt so remember to keep our fingers crossed and our eyes open for some goodies!

Hey rob how ya doing? I have a quick question for you, what is the most new (not incuding 2009) should you look for is it like the 1960 or 1959? I just need to know so I don’t get rid of good coins.
Genuine question. Are these worth anything and that’s why people collect them or is it more of just a hobby. Either way it seems like a interesting hobby.
Some coins can be worth thousands of dollars. Some a few bucks. Usually he is looking for silver coins, but there are plenty other rarities he is interested in also.
What do yall buy silver war nickels for? I get them for $1 each.

Cool finds Rob. I'm going through a box currently, have about a third of the box left. I found a beautiful 1939, and a dinged up one. Did pull a buffalo no date on the first few rolls. Taking me longer cause i'm filling a couple folders too. Thanks for the good videos.

Why would you link people to something like a "Nickle date restore" liquid? Anyone who knows anything about coins or coin collecting knows you NEVER clean a valuable, or possibly valuable coin in any way, shape, or form. It's idiotic of you to link something like that.
Just got a box back I had dropped off at the bank because it was all 2018 uncirculated. Figured I would unroll and run them through the counting machine just soon didn't get the box back again. A few rolls in and I ended up with a 1926 buffalo. Not the best shape but it works for me.
Hey Rob. My son and I just started coin hunting and we really enjoy your videos. Thanks for doing what you do. We have a question to what year of nickels do you keep from and how do you store them. Do you keep everything before 1960 and do you store them by years,key dates or by decades. Can you do a video on what you keep and how you keep them organized. 2009 nickels are for sure worth more, rob. rolls of circulated i pull from bank boxes sell for $25~29 minus shipping & ebay fees.

@@judiebarbera Hello. A silver war nickel is a Jefferson nickel comprised of 35% silver during the years of 1942-1945, as the government needed to conserve the metal of nickel for the war effort. And the Liberty Head nickel, sometimes called the V nickel because of the Roman numeral V on the reverse for 5 cents, was minted from 1883-1912. Great questions, and I'm glad I could answer them for you.

That would have been a really nice box for filing an album. That ms70 works best getting the toning or sitting in a room with dust falling on it for a long time. I think that it's better for cleaning than the E-Zest you can keep it on there longer and help the chemicals work. I believe the E-Zest is just for silver and gold to. That ms70 looks pretty nice if you need it, like many people I like to leave it natural. Sometimes its needed though for the bu coins like you were talking about. Cool hunt would have been a really nice box with some key dates buffalos or silver.
I found a 1938 S Jefferson Nickel in my first nickel hunt box an its in great condition.

I like that MS 70 cleaner. I would try an overnighter with that 1950 it looks like Sharpe marker to me.

Great video, you are part of the reason I started getting into searching boxes. I opened my first nickel box about a week ago and I got 2 buffalo's and a handful of 1946's.
The 1955-P is a hard find considering its a "P", if that makes any sense. although I have found more of those than the 09's, crazy. thanks, keep hunting nickels and ill watch it!
