In September 2023, Abia State Governor Alex Otti announced plans for the southeast's first-ever seaport in Owazza, Ụkwa East Local Government Area. This seaport, along with an export processing zone, aims to boost economic growth, trade, and job creation in the region. However, recent false claims on social media suggested dredging had already started.

Why not all states in south east do this together. Connect it it with railways to all States and trading hubbs like Onitsha, Aba, nnewi, Enugu, awka, Owerri, Abakiliki, Asaba and other big cities in Igbo land
After that we need a standard international airport functioning just like Lagos and Abuja it is going to contribute huge to the business people importers can travel directly to south east
