  • Perhaps one of the most important things about fasteners, is fastening them! Fasteners come in many varieties of drive styles, each having different upsides and downsides and requiring different tools to fasten. Our fastener specialist will walk you through some of the more common drive types and tell you which he thinks is most effective (and less likely to strip).

    Found myself here after been given a list of things to go get. One item was Square ?(couldn't read his scribble) screws. Luckily I checked here first as I probably would have gotten square ⬜ head shaped screws and never heard the end of it 🤣. Cheers for the video 👍

    Funny, no Pozidrive screws. By all means Pozidrives are more frequently used than Philips (at least here in Europe).

      Well just get an PH, it fits well with PZ as well. My primary use for Electrian was PH, as PZ does not go the other way around.

    Is ACR same as JIS?

    • @AlbanyCountyFasteners
      @AlbanyCountyFasteners  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. A JIS Phillips drive would be closer to a standard Phillips drive than an ACR Phillips drive. ACR has ridges on the drive and driver that provide better grip and help prevent cam-out.

    I would hate to be at a company meeting with this guy. I had to fast forward through most of this.

    6:10 you can actually use a flathead screwdriver just depends on how big that one is and how big the flathead screwdriver

    But ... which one is, on average, the best type ?

    • @darkijah-andersjehovahsn7893
      @darkijah-andersjehovahsn7893 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea... one thing would be how fast it sits in the bit. It is nice if a screw sticks to it so it don't fall off. Personally I like the PH's for whatever .... Not sure why everyone is replacing with the talks.

      Also a PH2 can usually go into a PH1, and it is simpel constructed and just works pretty much, easy to hit into and center. So... yea well... Might need something better to a really hard job. But sure, why no one has made some great test on this is beyond me.
