This is 99.99% unrelated, but there's this underground hip hop genre called HexD or Surge. The aesthetic is bit-crushed, compressed 2000s music and it's common to sample GBA music/sfx and other consoles during that period. I stumbled across this video researching how to dump SFX from a ton of GBA roms to use in my music. Considering you like the GBA and music production, I thought you might be interested in the genre. One example is Yabujin - ionwan2go and you can find other stuff on the Dismiss Yourself TH-cam channel. Maybe I'll try a setup like this and resample myself, though trackers seem harder to get into since I'm used to the piano roll and visually seeing the intervals.
I’m with you on that one. I’m still not used to trackers to this day. That’s really cool-It’s a unique to sample stuff from the GBA (and even the GB Color). You can get some nice 8 bit samples or 4 bit, depending on whether you use wave table buffers or not.
Yep, it’s pretty awesome :) ! The channels are stereo too with 8-bit samples for the bit depth and pretty much any sample rate, as long as you have enough storage for it and it doesn’t pass the clock cycle of the cpu.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Those sound cool, I'll have to check them out! And that's a great idea! It may take a couple of years, but it's worth a try!
Great question! Most of the download links should have a windows version too (except OpenEmu). But, I was waiting for someone to ask that so I could make a windows setup video. Stay tuned for that, and thanks for watching :)!

That's just chiptune lol
Thank you!
You're welcome!
interesting! so you can turn any tracker file into a GBA rom? what would be the channel limitations?

Interesting. Also you could use nanoloop cart or fat tracker which is native to GBA itself!
btw it would be cool to create fully functioning MOD tracker for gba)
