Appreciate it man! Both rods were 6'6" Medium and I had 20 lb mono. They were able to hold up but I know there's monsters in there that would break my gear.

🤣 the weak thing about it is there was a trail to the left that led straight to the river, literally like 100 ft. but I decided to take the right side that led me to 1.5 miles of trail 🤦🏻♂️

I just moved next to Brazos also. This was my first time fishing there. I missed 3 other ones. I hear there's catfish 3 times the size of these. You can definitely catch some river monsters at Brazos

Nice , come down to Brazos in brazoria/Freeport area, some great saltwater fishing, can even catch blue cats and redfish in the brackish parts.
I've been having my eye on that location. Seen it on Google maps and is on my list to check out next
I got a 4 piece fishing rod in a carry case to carry on my motorcycle . The case is about 2 ft. long so you can strap it to your handlebars.

Really? Do you catch your bait? Or do you buy it from a bait shop? You are using some kind of sun fish if I'm not mistaken?
I used sunfish and bluegill. I caught at a creek nearby
