These old videos are so helpful to me eric. Grzyboski’s has a Conrail ballast tamper I’m gonna pick up and its so nice to put this on and see what I’m in for lol. I also really wanna try and find a track mobile at York but they are so dang expensive like 300+ bucks for every one I’ve seen !
You should organize videos by type of product, like MOW stuff like this, locos, cars, decor, etc. Also that gang car brings back my first model train memory. I Went to visit my grandparents house and found it in a box and I remembered being so fascinated by it.
Great presentations. On the Ballast Tampers Two things tho: I wished they had them in CN & CP RAIL. I have O gauge trains, my second they would have these in HO SCALE as well. Well done video. 🎥
@@intermodalman123 well, you really need to have a flywheel motor to get that kind of crawl and I don’t think there’s room for it in something this small.
Is it possible to modify a TMCC speeder to have a coupler on the rear? I have some RMT passenger cars I want to use with it but the speeders don't have any couplers.
This is a nice piece and Thanks for the Review. Will this Run on a basic Crawl Speed? I live by a set of Tracks and have seen these in action many times and there is no way they can operate that fast lol. Just wondering if it can be more authentically ran. Thanks.
Actually, webster's dictionary 1st edition defined that pole as a "pantagraph" in 1828. It wasn't until the 1909 edition that the distinction was made between a trolley pole and pantograph. Scholars, however, continue to debate that distinction to this day and I am staunch believer in the original pantograph definition from 1828.
Love it. And, thanks for the brief review of all the other ones you presented. Love some of those older ones. Very cool!
HaHa on the pantograph!

Lionel will probably run the track mobile again before too long
That's a great looking weather job on that csx. Great video and sharing of the history of those models. Have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing.
Well it looks pretty cool for sure! It's a neat little thing to run on the layout, and In the BN of course.
Hope you enjoy lot's of run time with it!
Nice Eric like those Tmcc ballast tampers .Recently I bought my first command engine. And I am building and 8ft by 8ft O scale layout in my basement.
Awesome review on the ballast tamper. I have one in C&O without tmcc very cool machine Eric!!!
I love both my Santa Fe speeder and the Rio Grande rotary snow plow. Very cool for those upper loops with sharp curves.
It is very cool.....nice to view different units. Thanks Eric

The CSX looks fantastic weathered!
Long Live TMCC!! It’s old school Command Control, but it’s still pertinent to today’s standards.
It lasted well until 2008
Is TMCC not compatible with Lagacy??
I used to have a Plymouth myself would totally buy a command control unit in a heartbeat
Looks nice you can make it look like The railroad was Adding ballast after construction was finished
The little motorized units are so interesting

That could be a great thing to help building a railroad like yours
Maintenance of way stuff is awesome 😎
Great video. thanks, good topic.
Beautiful trains gorgeous layout you are truly 0 gauge thanks for sharing you
I’ve seen a real seeder at the museum I always been too
I love these things also.
Will you ever do a triple header with the track mobiles?
How's the slow speed operation?
Not good. It's a very simple device.
@@Ericstrains that's unfortunate, would been nice if they really geared it down to a crawl with the TMCC addition
@@intermodalman123 well, you really need to have a flywheel motor to get that kind of crawl and I don’t think there’s room for it in something this small.
amazing
Bruh this video is poppin awesome tmcc

I suppose anything is possible, but I wouldn't recommend it. The speeder likely isn't powerful enough to pull additional cars.
@@Ericstrains Alright, thanks for the info and quick response. Can't wait for your next video :)
Awesome 😎
Wish they'd bring back the track cleaner. My dad's from back in the day bit the dust haha
They might at some point.
anybody know if the wheels are plastic or metal on these things?
metal
Is a real ballast tamper going to fly down the track like that or will it move slower to get its work done?
Oh they fly down the track at all times. 😂
Wow
This engine would look cool pulling your track cleaning car
Nice Train ♐♐♐♐👍

Not really. They don’t have the creep ability that Lionel’s full size locos have.
I have tmcc sooo, baseline else keeping TMCC in the flow.
: OUTSTANDING all aboard :
🐢 🚂 🐢 🚂 🐢 👍
That’s not a pantograph it’s a trolley pole, pantograph describes the shape as well

@@Ericstrains nonsense 😂😂
I know, right? Haha
It’s one of those tracks repaired machines there are a bunch of them
Doesn’t really tamp ballast very well. :-)
I know them
Needs a horn.
You could not be more wrong that is not a ballast tamper if you don't believe me go on TH-cam and look one up
Well, that’s what Lionel calls it and that’s what it says on the box.
