- Israel has announced the largest seizure of Palestinian land in the West Bank in over three decades.
Peace Now reported on Wednesday that 3,138 acres in the Jordan Valley have been declared Israeli "state land," available for Israeli lease and denying Palestinian ownership.
In 2024 alone, 2,370 hectares have been seized, creating a block of settlements near the Jordan border.
Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are illegal under international law.
