Thanks Bryce. The pedestrian bridge just east of the Burlington GO station is a good spot for VIA and GO as the ends are open and you can shoot through fence opening. I wonder if you parked where the employees park would be okay. You can still shoot from there and I think is private property.
@Bryce Lee There's also a new GO station going in at Centennial Parkway on The CN Grimsby Sub. These two new station are necessary to the city of Hamilton whether the province is in debt or not.
As an update, I talked to a CN Police officer who used to work that area and he says he has no problem with railfans there if they stay back from the right of way. Was it CN Police, Metrolink or city police who asked you to leave and exactly where were youÉ
Don't know who cn78356, nice if you leave your name. I had not been to Burlington West in about two years but heard there had been some trouble there. I parked away from the tracks, stayed well back and wear a high rez vest to make sure I am seen. Not sure that helps but did get a "hello' from one of the GO trains. .CN 7082 and 7039 went by and no problem even though when I went to Snake I heard the same crew call in people taking pictures at the north leg of the wye by the cowpath. I think if you use common sense and stay off the ROW most crews just ignore you. As we all know some railfans think nothing of crossing tracks or standing way too close. Not sure, just my observations.
