Bear's Tooth is the highest point along Beartooth Highway, located at an elevation of 10,947 feet while the Beartooth Mountain's peak is over 12,000 feet. The highway starts at an elevation just over 5,500 feet in Red Lodge, Montana, and ends at an elevation of about 7,000 feet in Cooke City, Montana.
