I never would have imagined the inside of this house looking so historic (I think that’s the word I’m looking for). She said in the beginning that she didn’t want the inside to reflect the cookie-cutter look of the outside and she nailed it. It looks like the interior of a historic home that’s been around for a hundred years. VERY well done and beautiful home.
EXACTLY! She had me completely engaged when she explained the ppl going to a party thought process in the powder room. Book love and Harry Potter…YES PLEASE. 😊
True! Not everyone has the advantage of living in a historic house, but like this style.

I love love everything about her home and what she has done with each room. I love when u walk in a home and feel like the home owner really loves her home and loves to tell her family’s story. She is awesome and true to herself and it shows in her decor. I love that she went for it in every room and didnt hold back and it shows that she has a unique style so refreshing and beautiful. It looks balanced and elegant and u feel she loves what she does ! LOVE IT
I appreciate Haneen's regard for **context, "We're not coastal, we're moody library/ Michigan.." And yes, I can also appreciate wanting "home" to be a *blanket, something that embraces, insulates - and not just physically. I like the *depth and earth of her "color" choices, as well as her instinct to integrate "richer sheen"/a little glamour. The entry hallway is terrific, and *welcomes with interest, texture, dynamism. I think Haneen has intelligently, thoughtfully compensated for anything "cookie-cutter" within the home. Lovely, lovely place. Much happiness to them.

I really appreciate this home tour. First, she turned a regular builder grade modern house into a really interesting, cohesive, and beautiful
home. Second, while using dark colors, she managed to make all of the rooms flow together into delightful spaces with character, charm, and creativity. I could walk around that home all day and never get bored. Third, the design makes a strong design statement. Clearly, she has her own vision but unlike many designers, she was able to implement that vision. Every room looks intentional and curated. Good job! This one is awesome.
I live about 40 minutes away and know Canton well. The homes there are stunning from the outside but nothing like Haneen’s on the inside. ❤️
It’s dark, moody, and cozy…I like it. Lots of texture, art, wall paper, etc. She - and her husband - has done an outstanding job transforming what would otherwise be cookie cutter home.
I really connect with Haneen’s design style. I’m just down the road in Ann Arbor and the moody vibe with lots of trees just works. ❤

To cover the home office ceiling with black book covers is beyond creative and unique. No words (ha!) can convey how imaginative and brilliant this homeowner is! Such a treat to tour her home.
This house is so lovely and "Library" is a great descriptive word. It veers away from the minimalist look, which is a very nice change, but still so organized and clean. I love how it seems so historic and the deep and rich colors are so cozy. The woman in the picture next to "Jude Law" (lol), resembles Beyonce.
I think she mentioned the words "moody library" and that fits the entire house. Love it. So creative. The busts, historical elements, architectural and masculine feel fit with the books. Each room is unique but it's cohesive throughout. I miss the Ann Arbor Art Fair!
She is one of my most favorite houses…I too love plaid and floral….finally a house that wasn’t grey and all white….love the beams…..question…how does she not have to cook with four kids…..lucky girl…..I LOVE ALL THE BLACK AND WALLPAPER….GORGEOUS….that book ceiling is to die for…..love love love her and her home…hugs carolyn

Haneen did a fantastic job of making a cookie cutter McMansion into a homey, moody, one-of-a-kind abode. I love her use of pattern, wallpaper, color, and personal objects.
A lovely lady, and a very beautiful home. She has put careful thought into all of her home's decor, and autumnal colour palette. The dark moody rooms work, because there is a light filled, double height entry hall in between them.
I love when interiors are created in a cohesive colour palette, with a curated blend of furniture, art and textiles, using both antiques and modern pieces, for a truly personal home. This, she has accomplished very well. And though I wouldn't paint a whole room in black, I walk away inspired.
This is the first home I’ve seen that was like WOWWWWW YESSS for every room.
I thought her place was beautiful and found the vintage book-cover ceiling in the office very innovative. The stormy sky painting to the lower left of the large wave painting she had custom colorized, I swear I can see a cute dog in it, one eye open and it's nose. If not a dog maybe a fish or some other type of sea creature. 5-stars! For a project well done. PS I also loved her stories regarding her paintings as to what she imagined them to be:-) 🧚✨ 💫

First off: I love that it's NOT all white. I have moody, dark inviting colors in my house, as well. Love your home and vision.
Ps: I live near her, so I understand that coastal doesn’t work in Michigan homes. It’s cold here and beach theme doesn’t read well in a northern home. Warmer tones feel better in the home during long winters.

I love her home! She did a great job adding character because it looks like a custom built home. I wish she would have shown her children's rooms!! It would have been great to see how her style translated to children's spaces in a moody and inviting home like this. It would be amazing if more of these designers shared their children's rooms, so we can get some ideas too!

Truly inspiring home tour! I'm guilty of the resale value ideal that Haneen talks about in her video. She is able to take risks and own it, as demonstrated in her book cover ceiling. I have been personally touched by this home tour and it has inspired me to bend my safety standards when it comes to home design. Her home tour is accessable to the average home collector as she pays homage to home decor venues that are in every neighborhood across the country. A girl after my own heart when it comes to curating antiques and artifacts via online auction websites, and/or independant online sellers. Her home piques curiosity, exudes whimsy and is worked within an otherwise conventional exterior.

Such a fabulously curated home! As a designer clients ask how is my home going to be different than the person who referred them. Each home should have the personality of the owners, that is how I design, and they span the spectrum. This woman has a fabulous mind and eye. Love every inch of it.
If you put what you love in your home it will usually turn out pretty good.

This is my fav house yet, im obsessed with the lighting/ coziness that reminds me of charming European villages .My house was built in the 1900s and I love old unique homes and from the inside you feel like your from a different time here even though it was built recently

I adore it all & I’m so inspired by this gorgeous home! LOVE that she has a gallery wall of family photos in the living room! I see so many fancy home tours that don’t have family photos in main areas & I just don’t understand it. I’ve heard that some think it’s tacky to have a gallery wall of yourselves, or some that say keep personal photos in the bedrooms only…like what?!🤯 The office is stunning!!!
Just have to add that last year my husband made a Dallas Cowboys Lego helmet and I added it to a corner cabinet display we have but it felt SO out of place & I wasn’t sure about it…. Then I saw that she has the same one (except Lions) in the office & now I feel so much better about ours!!!🥰🤣🤣

I like the juxtaposition between traditional and modern it's really like having 2 home in one. Dark and moody to light and airy. I really like the bathroom.
She did a beautiful job decorating this house. I am from Michigan and am familiar with Canton. It is a nice area but it isn't filled with interesting, historic homes. She has added a lot of charm and interest to the house. We also don't have a lot of furniture and decor stores. She is very talented. Thanks for showing!
