It’s probably viral induced wheeze. He will outgrow it. In my experience, Doctors usually don’t diagnose as asthma after 4 years of age that’s in the UK.Possible triggers:Just check that he’s not exposed to air conditioning where he sits at home and nursery if he does attend. Some kids has low tolerance for cold.Ensure he’s not sweating at night if so change his clothes soon it as you notice. Good ideas to do an allergy test. Pedestrian could prescribe Preventive inhaler to avoid frequent hospitalisation. When observed he’s coming up with cold, you can start using it twice a day once he’s over the cold you can stop. In the uk, we call it The brown inhaler is the preventative one and the one in Nigeria is called Seretide Evohaler which is #2,150. The blue inhaler is the reliever and it’s called sulbumol inhaler 200 actuation-#789.50 The other blue inhaler is ventolin inhaler is #1,400. Hope this helps with your little man.
I attend deeper life church and the secondary school is amazing...my pastor's child that used to be a rebel attended the school and came back after one term a reformed boy....apart from the morals they also teach them well, engaging in various competitions both local and international....and they have branches in almost every state in Nigeria.
From the little I heard and the way the person wrote the email, this child has a behavioural problem and shipping him off to another country is not going to solve it. Yes I said "shipping". I'm not a parent but I've been put in a situation where I was a guardian to my 17 year old sister in Canada and she had similar issues. She's very brilliant and everyone including her teachers and supervisors kept saying "she has potential", "she's smart" e.t.c but this girl was master procrastinator and didn't like to attend class. To keep it short, my parents kept moving her from place to place and now 4 years later she's changed uni twice in different countries, and now she's trying to go back to another uni but my dad has removed himself from her "wahala". My sister's personal issues aside, what I observed was that it seemed I was the only one who was suggesting they take a deeper look at her motivations or lack thereof and not just cast it as her being stubborn and troublesome. I hope this boy's parents look into themselves and try to help their child without sending him off to boarding school in another country for other people to deal with, a country that he probably does not look at as his own. I went to boarding school for the latter part of my secondary school years but I chose it, while my parents and siblings lived abroad. It wasn't forced on me, adults(my dad's colleagues and friends) were trying to talk a 12 year old me out of it but I had my reasons which I won't go into but I stood firm in my decision. That's a different case, what if he's sent to boarding school and there's no discussion as to why and he sees it as punishment and he begins to resent his parents? What if he becomes worse because there's no parental control? Just because your 13 year old is having issues doesn't mean you waive your responsibility as a parent. I'm sure there are resources that they can use wherever they may be that can help deal with the situation. *I know parenting is not easy, I'll be the first to say it's a lot of work, but this just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm usually a representative of the "judge not a person if you haven't walked in their shoes", but this is also not a good lesson on how to deal with problems or obstacles coming from the parents.*
I mean theres barely any form of discipline that an african parent can use without getting themselves jailed, this one that can call police on them can eventually send them to prison, he deserves to go to Nigeria, he definitely needs iron hand, just 13 and he has the guts to call the police, they planted the okra they can bend it however they like to pluck it, i don't know anyone that didn't learn lesson from being "shipped" back home
Take him to Chrisland high school, the boarding not the Lekki or VGC branch o, The IDIMU ONE! He will receive sense in a posh yet thorough environment lol I went there and received sense.
I know of a couple who their son is like that in my city the day the boy land lagos the father started from the airport with belt I know the boy will no know kaki no be leather
SiSiYemmie, Please take Tito to a good chiropractor if there’s one in Lagos. You’d be surprised the wonders that can happen. My son had so much issues with cold, ear infections, asthma and eczema as a baby. At 18 months his Pediactrician told us about taking him to a chiropractor(I’m also all about natural ways of care.......Long story short, he’s well & good. Even if you don’t believe it, just give it a try, it’d never hurts. You can also give him warm bath to help with congestion’s. Anyhoo, you are doing good & looking good mom.
I stay out of Nigeria also and would never advice a parent to bring their child here at a young age...My sister's went to Babcock secondary and Higher Institution and I can tell you for free that it was a very good decision mostly when the parents don't stay in Nigeria..I really feel for the parent of that boy
Buchi Nwankwo Yes I went to Babcock university high school too for 3years. It’s a tough and disciplined school but it’s gonna have an effect that can not be gotten from else where on a child. Babcock forever has an impact on a person and it shapes one and makes one see life from a different perspective. I left Babcock 7 years ago but I still have the school’s impact and effect on me. I’ve been in the US for 3 years since I left Babcock but some of my decision making skills and reasoning skills are based on what I learnt at Babcock. I would recommend that school anytime for any child that needs discipline and auto corrections
Bring him to Engreg High School, Pedro. He will reset to factory settings sharply. Good boarding house with discipline and not too much harshness like is rumoured in most Nigerian boarding houses.
you need to buy AEROSOL machine, i had the same problem when i was younger so my mom bought the machine and the liquid then i used it often and i actually thought it was cool lol. now im almost 19 and i have not had any breathing problem for about 10 years. if you dont want to spend money on a new one i can send you mine , it is still very new i think its just the mask you have to buy just for personal reasons because it has been on my face but the problem is that the machine is in my house in Italy and i live in germany now but if you need it i will find a way to get it and send it to you. Much love Sharon
Hi Sisi, lovely vlog as always. I'm always happy whenever i see your vlogs. Tito was such a trooper whilst he was being nebulized. I get nebulized when i have difficulty breathing and my inhaler doesnt help (i'm asthmatic). I'm not saying Tito is asthmatic but if his breathing issues persists, you might want to take him to see a paediatric pulmonologist. a home remedy for difficulty in breathing is steam inhalation with menthol in the hot water and then follow up with hot tea and lemon/ginger (that's what my mum used to do for me when i was little and even though i hated it, it helped a lot). I hope this helps
Baptist Model High School Ijegun ikotun, Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary Ikorodu, really good christian schools, hope he is smart enough to pass the exams coz its pretty tough ,except things changed now
Forget all these new generation schools. Till tomorrow I'll recommend St Gregory's college Ikoyi. Years and years of morals, discipline and excellent education. You can even google the notable men the school has produced. It also has Reverend Fathers who live in and they will definitely keep an eye on him
live bands have upped their game, they do better than DJ's now. They sing all the songs dj will play and give it another touch, i need to go for a wedding soon, yoruba wedding to be precise
Good evening SiSi for you son Tito give him for Asthma put 3 garlic, one onion, bee honey.shop it on and put it in an bottle, keep it In the refrigerator. You can give one teaspoon tree times a day only when he is cold or can breathe. Is natural no side effect.
Take him to Omolaja Sodipo Memorial Anglican School in Abeokuta. It’s inside Bishop's court in Abeokuta. Very good school. One of the best in Ogun state.
Hi Sisi Yemmie, you look lovely as always. My kids used to have breathing problems too and we always had to nebulize them to help them breathe better, so I understand your frustration. If you can, get a humidifier for his room, it will make make a lot of difference. I have never been to the hospital for breathing problems since I got one, no more donations to the hospital :). Thank me later , my love to Tito x
Biko put him in a boarding school in Nigeria! I know a family that had the same issue with their two kids. Boarding schools fixed that problem under a year...they are s disciplined now! Schools in the East are great as well. I recommend looking into Grundtvig Int'l
My Brother went to LUMEN CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, UROMI. The school is very good and strict. You can't go there and graduate the same. Might be a good one for him.
Sisi please get Tito a chewable kids vitamins, one a day to help boost his immune systems. My daughter used to have frequent cold until a grandma told me about kids vitamins. Doctors will not tell you but you have to help your child the best way you can.
Honestly I feel for that parent. I do agree sending your child back home can be good but I’ve seen some cases where by the child comes back worse. Now this parent has to be very careful, since the child has already called the police on them & depending on what the child said against he’s mother she needs to be mindful of the social services. Police & social services - they both work hand in hand. I’ve seen some situations where by a mother has sent her child home and within a week later the child is back in the UK and in the social services care. So please I strongly advise that you pray and seek God’s face regarding this. I’m not a mother yet but I can totally identify with what you’re going through because of my job. And I’m sharing this with you because I don’t want you to go through more stress and heartache.
Hi, I enjoyed this vlog, especially the party. I’ll recommend Preston International School in Akure, Ondo State(google for more information). My brother and I finished from there and my little brother is still there. I honestly think it’s amazing. We had students sent from outside the country to receive sense. Discipline is also intrinsic as against extrinsic (eg house points system as against corporal punishment). This means you were essentially encouraged to think for yourself.
Hope Tito feels much better soon! Nice seeing the couple groove more, saw them on your insta story and wanted to see more so thanks for sharing #TillNextWeek 💛
Take the child to Chalcedony School in Ibeju Lekki. They have children like that in the school frequently. It is small and good and has a good moral and art education. Go in and talk with the Proprietor and you will be impressed
The boarding school I went to back in Nigeria is called Lagos state model college Kankon badarge.. That school put me in shaped before going back to the states
My son has virally triggered asthma. It's being in school with the other toddlers and all the germs floating around. I hope he feels better. I know your pain, sleepless nights and anxiety. The medicine can make him a lil more rambunctious.
Je will overcome d allergy n wheezing. Air his room during d day, use insecticides about 2 hourz before he sleeps so d smell is gone. A bucket of water in d room while he sleeps also helps. He is headed in JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN
Purple dress looked so beautiful on you. Have you tried giving Tito vitamins to help build up his immune system? My kids used to struggle with breathing at night too when they were younger. Rest assured they will grow out of it. As for the teenager, care must be taken that he doesn't totally go off the rail so that he doesn't feel rejected. There must be a reason why he is behaving this way.
Taidob College Abeokuta, Ogun state. that was my secondary school. they are strict, sad the proprietor died recently, chief Jiboku would have put iron hand on him. but the school is still good to discipline students.
Sisi Yemmie!!!!😁😁🙌🙌Tito get well soon please💖💖I'll pray for you o😍😍The purple dress and the braided wig😘😘And as for schools take the boy to Deeper Life High School,Ibadan☺
