7:24 ... mustache compliments! That's funny...I was with fridnds in Istanbul in 2019 and I was sporting (aka affecting) a pencil mustache and was surprised at the compliments I got! 🤣
Exciting! Yes they are open to haggling, but expect you to pay what is reasonable for the quality of handmade rug you are buying! It packed up small enough to fit in our suitcase and was about 2x1m
Great video! I've been considering going to Marrakech in July (probably the worst time because it's hotter), and it looks beautiful! Edit: 18:31 I've heard they do something similar in Thailand because they wanna take you somewhere else for money, so the best thing to do is ignore them.
Can I ask if there was anywhere major closed or any streets shut off following the earthquake? We are going at the end of Jan and just wondering if you need to allow any extra time for getting anywhere due to any rebuilding, or anything else to know..
Hey! The damage in Marrakech was very limited in comparison to the Atlas Mountains region, which was badly hit. Our trip wasn't impacted at all, except for the roof terrace of our Riad being damaged. No tourist attractions were closed. We saw a bit of rubble down side streets, but that's about it. Would strongly encourage you to go!
I've just come back from Marrakesh,, and I don't think you've given a true reflection of the medina. You haven't shown the poor animals chained up, the ladies grabbing you to have henna applied. THE bicycles driving through the lanes

Very nice! Did you visit after the earthquake?
Yes about 6 weeks after
@@TranquilaTravels Thank you. I was thinking of going there so your Vlog was very helpful.
Hi. Great video. What was your Riad called ?
Thank you! Riad Les Hirondelles

What’s hotel will you recommend and what’s the cost in £ I am looking forward to be coming in few weeks from London
we definitely recommend to stay in a typical RIAD :)
Peace be upon you, Marrakesh. By the way, it was hit by a violent earthquake weeks ago
Yes ❤️ We were there about a month after the earthquake, and Marrakech was recovering well 🙏🏼
How much were teh rugs?
Prices really varied depending on the style, size etc. But we were happy with what we paid for the high quality rug!

Thank you for realistic review. Is it safe for solo female?
What's in Algeria, land of terrorism like Iran 😂
@natalias1212 yes of course compare to Algeria & the rest of Arab world 🌎
@@benino1 I am not asking about any comparison but general safety.
@@natalias1212yes Morocco peace
Land of peace some way, land of harassment to squeeze every penny out of you.
