    Blending pocket-size portability and impressively full sounds is a fantastic boon for any guitarist, but for Positive Grid, that’s only the beginning of the 5-watt Spark Go’s suite of sonic possibilities. If we could choose one word to describe this rechargeable mini marvel, it would be “flexible.” Connectivity? Take your pick: Bluetooth, headphone/line-out, or USB. Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or bass? Yes. Spark supports them all with ease. But what really makes this diminutive, 5-watt powerhouse stand out is its deeply integrated, complementary Spark app. This app provides access to more than 50,000 presets with versatile sound design choices, including 33 amp options and 43 effects pedal options. It also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, and the App offers many more cool options, too. Honestly, you just need to see the Spark Go in action, and Nick Bowcott knows just how to put it through its paces. Check it out!

      Interested to use this as an interface into my iPad and to see the monitoring quality quite sure it will be good! Will be less hassle for traveling. Would be interesting to have seen how passive pickups would have been side by side.

    Spark Go is not a toy. It sounds incredibly good. I use it as a pre-amp thru my DSL1watt Marshall. I'm an old man living in a condo.
    Not only will you never have to buy another stomp box, amp head, cabinet, it's all there. You have an fn band to jam with. An A.I. that listens to your rythem then based off that, it make a jamming track with what seems to be a live band. I've been playing and buying gear for 45 years. Blah, blah, blah. This hooked up thru my amp and I have a l.p. Gibson Tribute and a made in Mexico Strat. I don't ever need anything else. If they only had this when I was beginning. Oh yeah, it actually teaches you new songs. The best spent money in all my years of playing. It's truly incredible. And it has way more features than the new Katana Go. And I like kantana. This Positive Grid Go is so cheap for what it does. I'm not getting anything from anybody to say this. I'm stunned at how easy and usable this cheep little monster of sound is. It really is easy to use. It was so cheap and I was expecting that maybe I could get one or two decent sounds from it. But you can tweak everything and the E.Q. and the Noise Gate, and all the stomp boxes are based from the most famous ones. It's truly something I will never go without. And for 120. dollars. It's unbelievable.

    I tried it and it is not loud or full sounding enough for an at home practice amp in my opinion. It is great with headphones. I think the name GO explains it. It’s a fun thing to take with you. I have the Mini and it is ideal for an at home practice amp as long as there is not a lot of other loud noises. I also have the 40. It is very loud. Hurts your ears loud if you are too close to it. The 40 has to be plugged in and is much heavier. I found he GO to be built very well and the price is great when you compare it to say a Fender Mustang Micro that doesn’t have a speaker or the great software the Sparks come with. I would definitely get the Go over the Mustang Micro or NUX Mighty. Need volume get the 40, need a small portable great sounding home practice amp get the Mini. Want a fun super portable amp to take anywhere so you can show friends your guitar skills or something small to use with headphones than get the GO. They all have a place. That’s my experience.

    • @sweetwater

      Hi Noodles-sd9hb, thanks for the question! I may avoid super high impedance headphones like the DT880s, but it should work with any normal set of plug in headphones just fine! If you want to look around for some headphones, I would love to help out, just give me a call!

    I wish a latency measurement was included with all digital amps. I measured 4mS on my Mustang GT40, which seems quite high. I can get about the same latency using a macbook and amplitude.

    • @LuLeBe
      @LuLeBe ปีที่แล้ว +6

      4ms doesn't matter though? You can't hear that, so why bother making it lower. Would increase price for no reason. In fact, I think under 10ms is completely fine.

    • @UltimateWobbleBoss
      @UltimateWobbleBoss ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s less latency than you’d have standing 2m away from a real amp speaker. Don’t worry about it.

    • @moddaudio
      @moddaudio ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UltimateWobbleBoss True sound travels about 1mS per foot.
      But as the loop is ear to brain to finger, adding a delay in there is never helpful.
      Digital drums set do not sell well, while digital pianos are fine. Both are percussive, instruments.
      Talking while wearing headphones with a 50-100mS is quite difficult. Gamers at 240Hz (4mS) displays. At some point latency does become an issue and dealing with latency in the 1990 was an awful experience.
      I tend to be skeptical of the claims of marketing when they are trying to get me to part with money.

    • @LuLeBe
      @LuLeBe ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moddaudio I play drums and Piano and have both acoustic and electric versions of each. Even 20yo e drums have no noticable latency. The reason I don't like them as much as electric pianos is simply that they feel terrible compared to real drums, even with mesh heads, because the heads and cymbals don't vibrate and so consecutive hits don't give the right feeling.
      Plus, you can play drums so dynamically that it just can't be captured digitally. It has nothing to do with latency, and latency is the same in both anyways.

    • @LuLeBe
      @LuLeBe ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moddaudio if you think the difference between 4 and 8ms is noticable, ask a friend to switch between each on your computer and you play without looking at the number. If you can reliably identify each, then you know that it matters to you.
      I know that I can't hear or feel it, but who knows maybe you're more sensitive to it.
      When you say "skeptical of companies wanting your money", you realize that a 4ms latency modeling amp is $200 while a real JVM costs 1500, right?

    I just got mine today, and it sounds terrible, worst blutooth speaker I own and no, it's not loud. No bass, sounds like a 30 year old portable radio. No bass, tinny sound, laughable for guitar with anyone listening. Maybe if you run it into a PA or real amp, but sorry, I have the 40 (love it) and the Mini (like it), this thing is going back, not worth the $120. And it doesn't sound anything like this video if you don't run it into something bigger. I have a very old exogear blutooth speaker that's the same size and sounds 3 times as big. And it's waterproof and floats.
    Sorry PositiveGrid, this one is not a winner. The smaller Bose Micro sounds better. I expected a lot more.
