Israel protests: Organisers claim largest-ever rally in Tel Aviv as calls for captive deal grow

- An estimated 750,000 Israelis took to the streets in one of Israel’s biggest-ever protests as anger boils over at the government’s failure to bring those held captive home.
Many people have been arrested as protesters call on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do a deal to bring home captives in Gaza.
Demonstrators accuse the police of using excessive force.
Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut reports from the Jordanian capital Amman, because the Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel.
Libby Lenkinski is the Vice President of Public Engagement at the New Israel Fund. It works to support democracy and social justice in Israel. She says it is unclear whether the protests can persuade Benjamin Netanyahu to agree on a captive deal.

Hundreds of Palestinian cities were also emptied inside the 1947 Jewish partition (Israel) as well. It was almost all Palestine, the entire thing (It was Palestine with Jews living in it, peacefully, until Israel started the takeover). Jews bought up 8% of the land to swallow up Palestine, but following the failure of that to take the whole region, they just embarked on the invasion theft plan instead.

On October 7th 1700 Palestinians were being held without charge in Israeli prisons some as young as 12 today there are over 10,000 Palestinians being held. In addition there are somewhere around 1800 captives from the West Bank being held without charge. A prisoner swap may reveal more to the world than Netanyahu wants us to know.
Thousands of Palestinian prisoners are being brutalised physically and mentally in Israeli detention camps. Where is the humanity for them?
