- ▶︎▶︎ Max Verstappen has shared his honest feelings on Red Bull’s current situation, as it seems like the Austrian team is far away from improving themselves in the foreseeable future, especially because they brought a significant upgrade to the Hungarian GP and it seemed to not work wonders for the RB20. Obviously, it has been the Verstappen factor who extracted the maximum out of the car ever since Miami but now that this seems to be slipping out of his hand, could we see Verstappen leave Red Bull and more importantly, how did his remarks disrespect the majority of the team members that made couple of his good results in the previous races possible?

McLaren must have a lot of confidence in their car for telling Norris to allow his team mate to win when he’s second in the standings. Did seem a little odd considering that.
Agree, but reality is that Norris is way behind from Verstappen and he is not able to maintain first position anytime he got pole position. I would love McLaren to also learn about the mistakes from this weekend but also Norris should be able to be consistent when having pole position if he wants to get the championship.
I'm starting to think the F1 2024 script is writing itself. Hamilton winning the British GP from being awful. Norris told to come in second even though he was clearly in the fastest car. Max returning to the irratic, irrational, petulant child he is.
While I appreciate that Max is a great driver his childish behavior and continual complaining is wearing me out.

When you're not a team player, selfish, arrogant, abusive and totally self absorbed, what does he expect? This is Karma, and proves to all those he has taken out in his career, that he can lose his cool when challenged. His days of having a nice Sunday drive miles ahead of the rest of the grid are over and we are back to the Mad Max days, but it's not his fault, everyone else is to blame, you know that.

"I don't make excuses"! Are you kidding me! In Austria it was "I didn't turn under braking" and in Hungary it was "He turned under braking". And then there was all his pathetic whining during the race blaming the front of the car, the back of the car, the tyres, his team and of course his opponents.
He has repeatedly shown that he is not a team player (witness the Perez incident where he ignored team orders), and he is not a part of the solution - until he recognises that he's just a talented piece of ballast.
I hope he stays with RBR, with the toxic culture fostered by Horner. They're a good match

As much as I LOVE F1 watching the same person win race after race and have the championship locked up with a handful of races to go makes it difficult to get new people to watch it. Now I enjoy a good fight.. 1st and 2nd or 15th and who's left rolling is all good for me. The closer the cars are the better the racing is...
I was surprised when in 2022 Max seemed to mature and suspected that the real Max was still there. Now when he faces some competition Mr Hyde is back.
This is what happens when you (redbull) design everything around one driver and inflate his ego to the point his entitled attitude causes problems.
This is not a driver with the right attitude for Mercedes - he will just keep bleeping on the radio and INSTRUCT all members and supporters to stay home.
Even how good the team and driver. Mistakes will be made in a high pressure envirement. And drivers and the team may have different opinions about the strategy where more often the driver is likely to go for full attack, if not that driver wouldn't be in F1. Strategy at Redbull is superb but lately sometimes a little of. People are so eager to blame Max.
No one talking about the fact that if Norris would have let Piastri pass straight away he would have had 30 laps to try and overtake him. Or Piastri could have made a mistake under pressure. Norris needs to get a lot smarter to beat these guys. There is little thinking in the stuff he does. At Silverstone at the start he went for a gap that wasn't there and dropped back because of it. Braked too late at the stop which costs 2.5 sec. That kind of stuff. Here he threw away a chance for the win to not let him by immediate. Bring your A game Lando !!!

Horner got Marko, to sign an addenda that he cannot leave Red Bull until the end of 26. Meaning there's no way for Max to exercises get out of jail clause
I find it pretty suspicious that the best car, by a long margin at the beginning of the season, went to just "being in the way" on the grid. Its also suspicious that this happened AFTER Newey announced he was leaving Red Bull. I think its all a HUGE GAME being played by Red Bull to get more development time and money for the 2026 season. McLaren is by far the best car on the grid right now.
Redbull relied too heavily on Max's ability to stay in front and haven't developed the car to remain competitive. The constant torrent of abuse aimed at Checo is completely unwarranted. If you sat any of the other 18 drivers in the Redbull, I doubt that they'd fair any better. It just highlights the ability of Max to fight at the front. And the failings in the car.

Mid field car might be a bit of a stretch. I haven’t seen an analysis of the lap times but even with the crash Checo seemed to be more comfortable with the setup. Maybe Max’s side just got it wrong. Believe you me….they still have a very component car

Redbull is likely not to turn it around this season, they have spent so much money and are at risk of taking penalties. F1 is in such a weird spot, 2026 is going to change everything and it's so hard to take anyone serious with "upgrades" until then. Research and development is split. I would be frustrated too.

Verstappen was merely showing his true personality, like his father, he acts like a petulant child, and it must be very unpleasant to be in any team with him. He immediately throws all his toys out of his cot when he does not have a Newey car which is significantly better than anything else. He deserved to be black flagged for the frankly embarrassing incident with Hamilton. His attitude of “let me past you or i will happily crash into you and take us both off” needs to be called out and not tolerated. For some reason the FIA always allow him to get away with unsportsmanlike behavior.

sessions, qualifyings and races nut now it is becomming
ridiculous.
Social media (that does include TH-cam) has many
"journalists" dying for attention and offcourse money
(youtube). They start with tittles like they know
something but the story usualy is about: We think,
we estimate, its possible, we heard and some even have
no issue with making up stories.
So done with that, i will never watch anything about F1
unless its the live race on tv but will make sure to avoid
bias journalists.

I don't love Max, but he is just acting how the majority of truly top tier talents always have in the sport. Am a LH guy also, but I also agree with the racing incident call for the contact with Lewis. Yes Max went deep, but LH obviously saw it and tighted up his entry line aggressively while max was already in the braking zone. Had lewis been knocked out of the race, maybe I would have seen it differently.
I suppose you could consider sliding uncontrollably into a turn in a straight line with tyres completely locked and smoking "going deep" and I suppose turning slightly right in a right hand 180 can be called tightening your entry line aggressively but you truly have to be a maxxie fanboy to see it that way.

I don't think that anyone realizes that drivers have insane amounts of adrenaline during the races. This channel also seems to be fairly baised.. I'm not a Max fan but this is unfair. Many, many drivers say things during the race and even after but never get judged. For examply the comments Norris made to Hamilton in the cooldown room. Talk about that too, not fair.
