i hunt with a marlin 44 magnum that’s a lever gun in southeast michigan. it’s a deer killing machine out to 120 yards. i hood that they harness that extra power out of a longer barrel. i’ve been quietly waiting for a 44 lever gun in cotw and i hope they don’t disappoint

I stopped watching your videos about a month ago watching other fishing hunting videos and there all so loud and I got tired of them so I came back to your videos and I forgot how relaxing yours is 😂
The new 44 should also be the first rifle to cover classes 3-8 which can make for some interesting loadouts
They can't give the 44 the same power it has in the revolver without giving a huge buff to the 45-70. Just look at the two of them in real life lol.

@@joonasrautio9909 because the 45-70 has way WAY more case capacity and a much heavier bullet than the .44 mag. It would make absolutely no sense to leave 44 with 70 penetration and the 45-70 with 40 penetration
Every gun needs seriously buffed. Also they have waaaay less strict weapon class integrity system to be true to how many hunters are irl. My father has always used a 300 win mag for blacktail and whitetail deer hunting. Doesn’t ruin the meat and delivers a quick clean kill. It’s totally ethical. In call of the wild the 300 can’t be used for anything smaller than a black bear. Can’t use it on 500lb red deer? Really? If it was how I think it should be you could use the 338 on class 4-9 but there’s a problem with that and it’s that it’d make it too easy. Everyone wouldn’t have any reason to use any other gun than the most powerful.

Decided to take a trip back to Layton today, grabbed a .22 and just went on a turkey hunt all day, 16 bronze, 20 silver, 13 gold, and 19 diamonds. Turkeys have just been plentiful on Layton Lake lately lol.

I been hunting with panther.44 since tuesday and devastating front on or side 150 and 200 but at 250 still pens better than all rifle cartridges but the quick kill drops sharply no 300 as drop and scope magnification out of range
150 zero is scope center dot and bold down post place deer vital in middle
200 the bold post just touching the underneath outline of chest
250 tip of.bold post on point u want to hit

44 magnum in a rifle should be a little more power than a 30-30 but not quite as much as the 45-70….. in real life it’s perfect for anything under 1000-1200lbs in North America
That’s exactly how they have it setup in game too. Perfect accurate to what you said. It’s right in-between that of the 30-30 and 45-70. And it works for animals moose size down to lynx size which I think closely matches the max weight you said.

I love Lever action rifles but i feel like they are way underpowered compared to other Guns fron the same class range
They just don’t got the range tbh. They loose power to quick at any range past 150 yards which isn’t too unrealistic but still I think every gun in the game is super underpowered compared to its real life counterpart.
