I've been doing this the most painful long way possible for YEARS dude. I'm so mad at myself that it was this easy to make a massive shadow. Thank you so much.

You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!
random thing i realized that adds to the effect, flip your texture layer horizontally then ctrl + click your text layer preview box thing (how you would select the text as an outline), left click the texture layer and ctrl + c, ctrl +v, then reflip your texture layer, as long as the text cut out you copied and pasted is aligned with your actual text layer it will mean the texture IN the engravement and the texture its engraved on arent the exact same (which would look weird depending on what texture you are using)
That was awesome thank you..I subscribed....
Thank you so much, Greg! I'm glad the video could help!

Thank you so much!
You’re welcome!
how do you fix jagged edges along side the font? it does that like on and off and i don't know how to fix it
I’m not 100% sure without being able to see it and how you’re doing it.
Alt & the down arrow didn't work for me is there another way to duplicate quickly
What version of Photoshop are you using? I'm on 21.2.2.
Same way to me, doesnt work :(
Look BRO Sorry to hear that. It (obviously) works in my Photoshop. Sorry about that.
@@EddieGarrison I try ctrl + J and ctrl + arrow for every layer , its not the best but at least i made the shadow 😂
Look BRO Whatever works, right 👍👍
the alt and down keys doesnt work on mine...any tips?
Sorry to hear that. Not sure why it wouldn’t work.
before you press Alt + Down arrow key, you probably have to Rasterize Type first then you press Alt + Down arrow key to do as the video author did.
Smart!
Thank you so much!
is it possible to do this with just a normal drop shadow? just feels a bit overkill to make 150 copies
I’ve never found a way to have it look like this with a normal drop shadow.
ALT + down arrow not reacting for me ....
oh i pressed the move tool and now it did it
I'm sorry to hear that, Hernan. It works on my PC desktop. Not sure why it wouldn't work on yours.
@@hernanschillaci2594 This was critical. Thank you. This should be explained in the tutorial. Took me a while to get it to work, thanks for the tip.
@@hernanschillaci2594 I am running Photoshop 2023 and Windows 11 and I have to use Ctrl+J. You want to hit ctrl+J, release, then hit the down key.
@@MelindaMartin thank you so much!
font name please
I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the font is Impact 👍
why cant photoshop just add that as an effect its so time consuming
@@ao1-kun843 It doesn’t take long at all once you know how to do it. But I 100% agree with you.
why can't they just make this a drop and drag effect like other softwares?
That would be great!!!
why do my edges look all jagged?
I wouldn’t know without seeing it. Sorry.
