    A fascinating area GeoRick! Appreciate you bringing us along. Lots of fantastic B-roll.Not sure how inviting Kerosene Creek sounds to come for a swim!
    We've got plenty of roads like that one around our area of Canada. LOL Thanks for the fun adventure.

    Very cool. That looked amazing. That amoeba had me a little concerned for Lynne thinking shed forget and go under the waterfalls

      Kerosene Creek gets a lot of overseas visitors on camper van holidays in New Zealand.

    Those are awesome locations. I loved the shot of the swallows flying around and that green water 👌🏻 Looks like that dip in the hot spring was refreshing

      Kerosene Creek was great as it is cold here at the moment.

    We missed this part last year because we were running out of time and it was very foggy. Thank you for sharing this.

    You wouldn't have taken the MG along that bumpy road...lol! I have yet to see the Champagne Pool myself, looks great though. So many places to explore in New Zealand... who needs to go overseas at the moment. Covid might slow us up but I can wait until it's gone.

      If we had taken the MG we might still be stuck in a pot hole :-) We have been amazed at how many great places there are that we had not discovered before Covid.

    That warm water dip by the waterfall looked fun. But I'm not so sure about that ameba 🦠 thing.

    • @GeoRick
      @GeoRick  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's ok with the ameba as long as you don't put you head under the water. People just sit in the hot water and quietly enjoy being outside and warm on a cold winters day.

    Fantastic! You guys picked a great spot to take a swim, but I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Rick do a cannonball off the top of the waterfall. 😆 But seriously, great and interesting geological locations for this video. I personally have never experienced something like that.

      We must have run out of SD space just as I jumped or was it battery power? Maybe next time :-)

    I wondered about the road out to the creek, I might have to pass on this one unfortunately my little car won’t like that

      I am not sure it's still this bad. We took it very slowly and made it ok.

    ASMR geothermal puddles... haha The sounds are so satisfying. Disgusting, but satisfying :)
    That you have so many dangerous geothermal sites around NZ just fascinates me so much.

    • @GeoRick
      @GeoRick  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there are a lot. Remember when I was young reading about Pompeii and wondering why the Romans built a city right next to a volcano only to realise, for the first time, that we have a number of cities just like that! Fascinated by mud pools too :-)
