Hello mate, My wife has never had a Pot Noodle! Also, my son has only ever had one, 10 years ago when he was 9. He did not realise you had to add water, and tried to eat it dry! Hilarious, happy memories. Great review Gareth! All the best mate, Guy.
Bombay Bad Boy addict here. I always go for the king pots. I fill my pots right up to the rim at the top of the pot. Give them a stir to get them started and then stir in the sauce straight away for maximum infusion. I then cover the pot as usual, but leave it to stand for 10 - 15 minutes. That way you get maximum noodleage!!! Along with a wee glass of milk to keep the heat under control.... Sorted!!!!👍
Here's another little bit of Pot Noodle fine dineage I discovered while "experimenting" in the kitchen. It might sound just plain wrong but I found it to be a fantabulously filling simple quick meal or winter warmer. Be aware that one pot will serve two people... or more with a smaller portion. It only requires a standard size Pot Noodle, a can of condensed soup and a large pot. Prepare the condensed soup as normal. I use Batchelors Chicken, Mushroom, or Tomato (currently about 50p/can from Home Bargains) and dilute it with 1/2can of milk plus 1/2can of water. Heat it up in a larger pan than you would use normally for a can of soup. I haven't tried any of the curry flavoured Pots, but have found the Chicken Noodle Pot works well with Chicken or Mushroom soup. The Beef and Tomato Pot works well with Mushroom or Tomato soup. I also found the Sticky Rib Pot works well with Mushroom soup. While the soup is heating, prepare your Pot Noodle as normal. When your Pot Noodle is ready, pour it into the soup. Hence the need for the larger pot!!! Give the resulting combination a good stir and leave to simmer for another couple of minutes or so to allow the flavours to infuse. Serve and enjoy!
I liked this one. Mainly because they didn't put veg in it which I've always thought was pointless in pot noodles, think there's just small bits of red pepper. My goto is still the Bombay bad boy.
Like you, I used to eat Pot Death quite often. Chicken & mushroom was my go to flavour. I have not had one for many years now though. Think the latest one I had was when the Bombay Hot (?) came out. I might give this a go now tough :D Top review mate!
Another great video Gareth, I've been buying them and super noodles in various flavours of many years. I love them, I sometimes put it in a bowl and add hot dogs or bacon.👍
I've never had a pot noodle, but I used to cook up a bit of vermicelli, add a bit grated chesse, knob of butter and some basil and black pepper..that was gorgeous.
You are a top bloke mate. I’m from London and don’t normally understand northerners. But you have changed my small minded opinion. Great content buddy. Keep it up. I’m watching as many videos as possible.
I wonder if it would make good content of you growing your own chillies. Can be done on a windowsill. The range sells them. You could do grow updates at the end of a video. Then a taste test once done. You could use it to make sure your videos go over ten mins. Then a complete video at the end. Plus a bit of fun. You remind me of Tyson furry. You also look like a bruiser too. Keep it up my friend
Another fantastic review like always haven’t had Pot Noodles for a long time but I think I’ll be a bit too hot for me cause I don’t like hot food but a brilliant review
Definitely gonna be trying that. Lived pot noodles in my teens... beef and tomato, me. Gave a Bombay bad boy to my 10yr old nephew... he started eating it before stirring in the sauce so had mouthful of sauce and a noodle...i thought he was gonna explode! He never had indeed again!
Have to admit, I do enjoy the odd pot noodle. It's very rare that I don't pinp it up a bit though, I like to add Mrs Ball's chutney, a packet of micro chips and a packet of crisps and a good amount of vinegar (you can see me do this on my wee channel, I did it with a Bombay bad boy). I find the Piri-Piri one has just a nice wee tingle on it.
I use to have pot noodles for my lunch in the winter when working at my now retired job with BT they would warm you up after climbing down from the top of a pole on stormey days
Not had a pot noodle since my teenage years apart from a speculative taste of the Bombay bad boy which I wasn’t impressed with, there’s much better quality noodle pots out there but at end of the day it’s all about personal taste and choice! Glad you enjoyed it tho Gareth!👍
Just had one of these they are really tasty shall be buying more. Next time I have it I will pore it over some chips like I normally do with them. Thank you for your reviews they are very helpful . But really pissed of with Iceland's went to 4 of them in my local area yesterday to buy the Carolina Reaper Burgers and Sausages and the Scarily Spicy Chicken Pizza but none to be found. I hope they haven't discontinued them like they seem to do on things you like and get into as was so looking forward in trying them.
I didn't know this one existed Gareth, however; I'll look out for it, it's got to be worth a try being Piri Piri. If you get the chance, try Bombay Bad Boy, now that IS hot! Love the Piri Piri oil too! All the best pal.
Thank you so much for a great review, and accomplishing it, with out using swear words, unlike others I won't mention. At least I don't have my young son shouting at me to tell me to tell the bad man to stop swearing. I'm not sure if the piri piri, would be to hot for me, as I have digestive issues. However I do like the sticky rib, and I always add some extra soy sauce to give it a bit more of a kick!
Used to love pot noodle until I found out I'd type 2 diabetes. Can't eat them anymore to much sugar and salt. Glad you enjoyed it though. Another great review 👍
I'm luvvin the Bombay Bad Boy but this Piri Piri Chicken is definitely on my must try it list!!! Pot Noodles are brilliant for shift work, OK so maybe not as healthy as you might be advised to eat but tasty though!!
Great review gareth I have not had these but after your review I will definitely give them a go my choice of pot noodle is curry with some bread and butter I always have a couple in my cupboard and also Bombay badboy flavour 👍👍🍜🍜🌶🌶
I think that might have benefitted from a dribble of Brussel sprout ketchup. The term "That is lovely" is not usually applied to pot Noodle unless you've had about 6 pints
I once used the word "Claggy" whilst In Tukey to describe my top sticking to me with the heat. The Turkish hotel owner said he'd never heard the word before and then used It every opportunity he got.....quite funny with a Turkish accent!
Hope all's well Great video Gareth. Piri piri is too hot for me though. I prefer to taste the fruit in the chilli. Good for those that like clucking hot stuff 😘 xxx
I always stab the fork in pot noodles and then cover it. Didn't really like the peri peri ones though. I enjoy the chicken & mushroom ones added on buttered bread! :)
I had a chicken n mushroom today but there's no way near as many soya bits in them as there used to be. I tried a good dollop of ketchup in it today which improved the flavour greatly.
Oooh I totally agree claggy is the way forward and I always put less water in than recommended as I like a thick sauce I had a bombay bad boy pot noodle and couldn't finish it lol it made me sweat a bit I'm enjoying the M&S count on us diet meals at mo and I can confirm the Thai green curry with rice is delicious and so is the sausages with colcannon mash I'm trying to lose a bit of weight 😋 but it's bloody difficult with a greggs, burger King ,maccys etc on every motorway services oh well its all about will power cracking video as usual keep safe out there from joff the trucker
Sticky rib or Bombay bad boy for me , I like them all really , I don't think I've bought a beef and tomato since the 80,s though.. easy meal for me at work, my shifts mean break at either 11am one week or 9pm next week, so too late for breakfast or too late for dinner , for me that means 'noodle time' .

Chicken and mushroom for me, add extra soy sauce and maybe a splash of Worcestershire then leave it to stand about 15 mins, come back and drink it, curry would be my 2nd choice, nice and thick.
