  • English cast-iron ½-pounder swivel gun (draaibas NL) from the Queen Anne (NK47-11), an English merchantman that was wrecked on the Zuiderzee near Kuinre (province of Overijssel NL) in the first quarter of the 18th century. The wreck was discovered in a now-reclaimed part of the Zuiderzee (the Noordoostpolder) in 2016 and excavated by the Groningen Institute of Archaeology of the University of Groningen during the summer of 2018. The wreck was well preserved and contained a large number of artefacts, including multiple weapons under which 4 swivel guns and dozens of cannonballs. This swivel gun (3 ft, 90 cm) has the mark “P” (proof) on top of the first reinforced section. The pictures for the 3D model have been taken during the course “Cannon recording and drawing” by Nico Brinck at the ArcheoHotspot in the Batavialand museum in Lelystad March 2023. Organized by the Dutch archaeological association LWAOW
