- Good fishing weather going for jetty kingfish and redfish schooled up and eating some bait that they like to eat when they are there because to them, the smaller baitfish are food and not bait like the would be if we were going to use them, like when we put one on a hook and the use it to catch a bigger fish.

I was fishing on Port A jetty a couple of years back and recognized him right away wished i had my camera... damn it! 😂 Hubby and I follow and watched every video he made and he asked about how the fishing was going and he went on down the jetty. It's been so stormy the past few days I'm glad we didn't go. We had nice size hail yesterday here in Freeport area. So glad we wasn't out 2hrs from the ramp! lol

Bro, that King is an absolutely beautiful fish. Congratulations! I was really pumped for you. I grew up in Florida fishing every day and I moved to Pittsburgh on my own and ended up having to go to all ultra light rigs because we rarely catch any more than 8-10 oz trout here unless we're extremely lucky, so I had to teach myself how to fish all over again. I really miss fishing offshore or even somewhere that I can catch some real saltwater fish. Very rarely do people in my area catch muskie or pike, so it's tough. I have close to $5000 in rods, reels, and lures/rigs. I would really love to come back home to throw some of my favorite rods and reels at some serious fish.

For kings everyone has their preference but the most secure leader is wire leader so they wont cut you off.
