    Looking good sir! I'm a big fan of seeing how each person's machine evolves as they build. Love watching your progression.

    Steve, I enjoyed your panel at TPF. Thanks for sharing your experience. I was gonna come up and introduce myself and shake your hand, but you’re popular! Every time I saw you, you had a crowd around you. 😂
    Maybe next time. Thanks again. I can’t wait to finally get back to my homebrew and start documenting it sooner or later.

    Hi Steve. In any case, it's thanks to you that I started making videos. I did my first show 2 weeks ago and I met a lot of people interested in creating pinball machines. I am in contact with 5 French people who are embarking on the creation of homebrew pinball machines and who have already ordered equipment and who are getting into it seriously. Well done for that. Keeping it simple and showing both successes and failures helps encourage people to embark on the adventure. big up to you because it's never easy to admit problems. thank you very much. And congratulations on your nomination to the TPF. You are a reference in homebrew pinball now.👍👍👍

      That's great to hear! Seems like so many more people really getting interested in building their own games more and more each day.

    I see your amp back there and one thing I found improves the sound is to use a ground loop isolator on it. They're cheap (like under $10) and reduce a lot of the hum/hiss/buzz from feeding the audio output of the PC into the amp. They just plug right inline and don't require any wiring or power.

      Ah yes thank you, a couple of folks have mentioned that but I keep forgetting! I'll grab it off Amazon right now!

    Im actually on the search for which filament you landed on for your prototype ramps! I have hyper PLA (essentially PLA plus) and PETG on the way!
    I didnt find anything on the shared files so I Figured id check in for some wisdom as I enjoy some of your videos.
    Cheers, Steve!

      I've just been using regular PLA filament for my ramps and basically everything and it's been working great

      @@thepinballroom oh wow! Good to know! I was definitely overthinking that. And that's just regular PLA and not plus. Eh?
      Thanks for getting back to me. Nice to have a few less variables to consider!

      The bad boi that I'm working on is pretty much incomplete yet, but the main table of it is ready, it also has a boss fight complete as well(though I'll have to tune it down a bit)
      Here it is : brazillians park 2703build
      (Then add the netlify "watermark" after, because youtube is shadown banning my comment)
      Controls :
      A and L are the flippers
      Enter is the plunger
      and P if you want to pause the game

    With an option to purposefully remove the ball from sight. Have you given thought to how intuitive your design is to a new player? Plenty of machines take the ball away just to have it pop back up and instantly drain when the player was trying to find it.

    • @thepinballroom
      @thepinballroom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry not sure I'm following? Are you talking about the diverter that goes to the subway or another part of my game?

    • @havvik3505
      @havvik3505 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thepinballroom it’s a few things. Your orbits are clear, you know where the ball is going. But the subway could lead anywhere.

    • @thepinballroom
      @thepinballroom  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@havvik3505 yeah the subway leads to the VUK on the right and that will stage the ball for a mode, etc, so I'm hoping it will be clear enough to the player what's going on and where it'll come out. Also doesn't create a mean drain etc - but you bring up a good point that I've got to take some steps to bridge that gap so folks know where it went etc

    • @mathaeis
      @mathaeis ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thepinballroom The simple solution I've seen for this is using some sort of GI light that flashes a few times right before the VUK kicks it out.
