- Playing bagpipes inside one of Scotland's most exclusive Castles. Roddy the Piper plays a jig called ‘Wee Harry’ on the stairs of this secret castle, Birkhill Castle.
Roddy the Piper is based in Edinburgh, and performs for events, Scottish conferences, wedding entertainment and other functions. He is also happy to work with clients bagpiper brief, if there is a photoshoot, or some brand event. Roddy has also done Scottish launches and is flexible to work with clients who have interesting and creative ideas to make Scottish content.
Roddy is wearing the Red Ramsey Tartan kilt in this video, and playing a set of Lawrie Bagpipes, dating to 1908.
Roddy was filming at Birkhill Castle as part of Highland Games activities, where guests can participate and learn some of our Scottish culture. Roddy was teaching the guests how to play Bagpipes.

The Venue; Birkhill Castle, is the seat to the Earls of Dundee since the eighteenth Century. The Earldom was created in 1660 for John Scrymgeour. The Scrymgeour clan have been the Royal Standard Bearers for Scotland since the 13th century. Bestowed by William Wallace, subsequently made hereditary by Robert the Bruce by Royal Charter in 1314.
