this is so great, Brainard! in taking a day off, which i do every sunday, i get to recharge my batteries. i find it is very important to balance my brain and give time to my right brain (creativity, mystery) and not be pushing it to create with my left brain (focus, doing, earning). take time to smell the roses. sometimes i find i need to do absolutely nothing productive on sundays, it takes getting used to but i really look forward to sundays and it does make the rest of my week more productive.
I think this works if you are doing art full-time. If you have a ft job, I don't feel exactly inspired to create during the week and love doing all the art on the weekend uninterrupted. Its my free day to enjoy art vs the crappy day job. I'm trying to get to full-time artist, but not really selling, so not option yet.
