If anyone catches a BAL game, watch out for Brice Eyaga (F.A.P. Cameroon). Good defender, rebounder, slasher with a decent 3pt shot. A swiss army knife type player.

Finally people are taking notice of the OBVIOUS wealth of talent in Africa. Took them a long time to realise they could go to the source for these sporting talents. There's millions of Giannis in Africa.

@@celinedelgado243 Because he grew up in Greece. The point is that there are millions of kids in Africa with the potential of NBA stars, but they lack the infrastructure to turn that talent into skill. Someone like Giannis was able to benefit from his talent by growing up in a much more developed European country like Greece and take full advantage of his genetics. If you provide similar opportunities and infrastructural wealth to the continent of Africa, you're able to get millions of other talented kids straight from the source. The NBA is filled with men of African genetics that were able to prosper from western infrastructure. If you provide the same infrastructure in Africa, there'll be dozens more Jordans, Lebrons, Giannis etc. waiting to be developed.

We need to develop Africa so Africans can succeed in Africa. We need the BAL, not every talented African basketball player should go to NBA, Europe or Australia. We need a successful continental basketball league. 👏🏿✌🏽

That is what they always say. And then their „Africans“ play for France. And they always talk about their „superiority“ which is debatable, especially when it comes to countries like Serbia or Slovenia, which are much smaller and not the richest countries as well. It is the same story with Nigerian Football. They always bragged about their Nigerian youth. Are they in the World Cup? No of course not. Croatia which is one of the best teams doesn’t even have a single black player. So maybe the countries are responsible fort players success as well not only the genetics. So why shouldn’t they play for the country then?

Basketball is a harder sport for other ethnicities to reach at a high level of you can see. Most basketball players a way taller than average height which even if they are really good, gives them less of a chance to play. You don’t need that height for football so I guess most Americans rather watch football than basketball
