What was so good about Brookside is how they really planned out the stories in advance and slowly planted the seeds. For example, Mick and Sinbad got beat up a year before this which led to Sinbad’s hearing loss, and that all led to his work in the deaf school and the allegations. Even when Gemma moved in with Josie, they made a point of saying that she wouldn’t be taking her computer because Josie has an even better one. Such a forgettable moment but it was definitely planned because the computer would play a huge role in this story.
Sinbad and Tinhead are both bloody good geezers despite some people's misconceptions of them. Leo's a good geezer an' all - it's his dad who's a bit psycho.
Katrina is NOT selfish at all - if she was she wouldn't give a fuck about her deceased fiancé. And Steve understands because he 'lost' his absentee biological mother when he was about 10.
