”the smiling embouchure is nooo good” :) So many teachers stil teaching kids the old way. Great that there are such tutorials online so we can all get up to date very easily 👍😊

Why can i only do this if I put my right hand over the end of the headjoint? 🤔
It doesn't work if I take it away.
(Hey I just did it 😱😁)

Thank YOU! I'm an "old dog" learning a new trick (the Dizi bamboo flute). Unfortunately living in the middle of the USA makes it impossible to find a teacher. I have one contact, but he lives in Shanghai . . .16 hours time dif. This has really been helping me find that sweet spot.

There are hundreds of people giving online lesson nowadays, for example over Skype or Zoom. Just Google! Thanks to the internet, you can study with a flute teacher in the middle of Antarctica if you wanted to. No need to be limited by your location!

@@alexcarroll9774 True. But some claim to teach you a good tone, while producing some nasty sounds when demonstrating their own sonority....

If you’re interested, I could help teach :) I’m based in the US and teach with a students perspective so no “seniority” showing

There's tons of teachers in the middle of America. You must live in a really small town.
