Actually, adel885, they were trans the whole time. That's how it works. They hadn't come out at that point, and Lana had been suffering from gender dysphoria since they were kids at school (She's told stories about having issues with the nuns at school in regards to it), and they originally wrote the character Switch in The Matrix to be Trans (specificially to be one gender inside the matrix and the opposite outside it) but the studio nixed the idea so they went with an androgenous female for both roles instead.

There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. pbhtllt that's incomparable. Muslims are 1.6 billion people on Earth, most of them are peace-loving humans living their lives just like everyone else. Attacking Muslims as a whole is just attacking 1/5 of the world's population for the actions of their extremists, that is just irrational.
A more apt comparison would be to compare religious extremists to the alt-right. Both are radicalized groups that adopted fringe ideologies.

But since you brought it up the alt-right does not compare to religious extremists as most would be satisfied with tighter border security and policies that benefit citizens first. So just like not all Muslims are extremist, not all alt-right are white nationalists or white supremacist. Those are the loud minority. Now more and more people are shedding the label so as not to be associated with them so they will become the majority but at the moment they're not. Also the anti-Semitism is growing rapidly within the group which is another reason people are leaving. All I was trying to say was that being a racist doesn't automatically make you alt-right you can still be just a racist. And most of the shooters mentioned would not qualify as alt-right. I don't know the specifics of all of them so I can't say for sure. But even if they would have fallen in the alt-right today the 'movement' is only a few years old. I don't like retroactively applying political labels to people.

For a show that's suppose to be about inclusion and diversity, she sure is painting white males with a pretty broad brush. You cant just identify a few negative characteristics of some crazy white guys and attribute that to all of them. Isn't that what white people did to African Americans, (some still do) for centuries? If you want change, and you want to point out problems with society, politics, etc., in order to get the ball rolling for that change, it doesn't help to demonize ALL white males. Your going to have the opposite reaction when good people feel defensive and disparaged, so they join the alt-right in order to feel welcomed and that connection with people that don't hate on them because they were born a certain way. You have to be nuanced in your approach on these subjects because words matter and you don't change minds by screaming and yelling, but through rational discourse with an open mind.
