This is super inspiring and motivating! Congrats! Sort of random question but do you remember how long you took to study for the mcat? Any tips on studying for exams?
Thank you! I studied for one summer, 2-3 months for the MCAT. Studying for exams comes down to your learning style - I am someone who loves to memorize things so I used a ton of flash cards. Nowadays people have Anki (didn’t have it back then!) with practice questions!
Yes and no - yes “technically” you can however Medicare does not reimburse for overseas reads so you would have to find a job that provides preliminary reports only. They do exist but not universal.
Hi Yasha, I just wanted to ask you a few questions. Im a US img finishing up my md in italy and I was wondering what is the process fo matching into DR for my situation. Particularly how should i approach applying (like how many applications should i make to dr and prelim programs). I passed step 1 and my step 2 predicted is 252. I just recently started watching your channel and I love your content. Thanks!
Hi! The process is probably the same as any other IMG except you don't have to think about visa status which should help! Definitely apply broadly and look at IMG friendly programs. Same with prelim programs. You will likely need to apply to more programs than you think. But you can do it! Thanks for watching!
