    Help defense is the story behind this. In isolation Bron actually shot 10-20 on Iggy. But when Bron was guarded by Draymond he shot worse. When there were help defenders, he shot his worst -- which is what Iggy used to tell people. Consider watching a breakdown of games 4-6. Either way, defense wasn't what won GSW these games. Both teams were struggling to get over 100 all series

      This is revisionist history. Fmvp discussion was solely between iggy and lebron and for good reason. Lebron averaged 36, 13 and 9 and iggy guarded him about as effectively as you could hope to. There was no case for steph deserving fmvp at the time and he rightfully received zero votes for fmvp.
      These conversations have changed over the years to make steph look better in the finals than he was imo. He did not have a good series either by his standards. Certainly not enough to overcome iggy or lebron impact on the series.

    • @matttheknicksfan
      @matttheknicksfan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Twomps if this is revisionist history then what is the playing of both sides you're doing? did LeBron destroy iggy or not? theres no LeBron was so great in a losing effort case if the "other option" is iggy's ever so effective defense on LeBron. to me, LeBron had no business being in that fmvp convo cuz he lost when he could have gone up 3-1 since game 4 was on his home court. curry had a miserable game 2 then he got back on track. was it an all time great series from him? no, but he was clearly their most valuable player in the series when he exploded for 7 3s twice

    • @Zionjrpro

      @Twomps just because 11 voters didnt put curry in the discussion doesnt mean everyone else didnt.... thats a robbery for curry to not win it over iggy.
