What amazes me about Steph is that he was raised in an affluent home of an ex NBA player. He could have turned out as a spoiled rich kid. Instead he’s one of the greatest players in NBA history, and the figurehead of one of the greatest dynasties in modern team sports. Credit to his parents for raising him well too.

One aspect that gets ignored too often is that it wasn't just Igoudala on Lebron- Draymond was outstanding defensively in that finals & it was easier for Golden State to throw multiple guys at Lebron (not just Iguodala) because Kyrie/Love were both hurt.
Add in the fact that Steph played great and they have zero chance of winning that finals without him on the floor & I think Stephs' value in that finals consistently gets underrated.

The guy averages 27 6 & 5 and 27 6 & 6 for his playoff and finals career respectively. Statistically it was MJ & Pippen's most inefficient playoff series, but Rodman dominated. He had 2 games with 10 offensive rebounds which both now sit near the top of the all time list for most offensive rebounds in a game and he did them within a series. He got Brickowski ejected once, maybe twice, I can't recall, and I'm pretty sure he got Kemp fouled out or in foul trouble several times.
But with the NBA being a global, family friendly game, the NBA would never give it to Rodman and so MJ was the logical choice.

    If Curry thinks, I disagree.
    If CurMickey speaks, I ignore.
    If CurChoke fails, I’m happy.
If the world is against CurTrash, I am the world.
If CurFraud has 7 billion fans, I am none of them.
If CurBum has no haters, it’s because I no longer exist.
    I hate Stephen Curry.

two players can both be essential at the same time
people dont seem to get this, every other comment (not necessarily in this comment section in particular) is "X dont win without Y" like yea, and also X doesnt win without Z or Q. Your car wont drive without the front left wheel, it also wont drive without the back right wheel

A lot of ppl forget iggy made a lot of the scrappy plays and changed the momentum at certain times due to play. Not everything is about scoring 30 or shooting 3s you can effect a game with a donut if you play or played ball you know this. Pay attention to detail not how much points a person scored.

The LeBron love at the time was so astronomical that he earned someone else an MVP that didn't deserve it.....crazy.
The hot take is Steph Curry could make the argument he deserved either of the ones with KD too. Numbers aren't everything

JJ brings up a great point - we should appreciate players like lebron / Steph / KD while they’re here. Just appreciate good ball. I think ranking them and having all these hypothetical conversations takes away from their greatness in the moment

    • @jamesmarshall6619
      @jamesmarshall6619 ปีที่แล้ว

Yup. I hate Kobe, still a proud Kobe hater (sports hate not actual hate), but I still loved watching him play and appreciated it while cheering against him. There were games where he went off and I hated that he did but still appreciated it. His last game I was hoping they would get stomped but once the last half of the 4th quarter hit and he was knocking shots down I couldn't help but cheer and get excited. Sometimes fans need to step back and just appreciate seeing greatness, players become great not just because they have great talent but they put in the work to be consistently great and when they have those games or moments it's okay to appreciate it.

I never understood how bron go from dropping 40 to 36 like I fw iggy but ion think he deserves it
It just shows where curry was in his career he wasn’t controlling tha game and it was more systematic everybody play the role in stead on curry showing his dominance like how magic and zeek did while still managing the system
