Your bear is beautiful, a black bear but the light brings out the shine of the fur. Love how the trees fade and the meadow is perfect, Thanks for the video.
Yay!! Thanks so much for watching!!! The colors is what attracted me to painting this bear in the first place. I put her in a meadow of yellows so I could play off the compliments. That’s always fun for me
That Koi painting is epic! And the bear too, but the koi painting took my breath away, do you have the footage of that please upload that, Suzanne! You Rock!
@@SuzanneBarrettJustisArtist That's no problem. My tests are going well I got 94/100 in maths and 98/100 in science and most importantly 100/100 in Art 😄
@@anaygupta3512 thanks GREAT!!! Don’t discount those awesome grades in Math and Science ….you know, before I had my art career, I was a researcher in a lab. I was in cancer research Fascinating and rewarding work.
This was so much fun to watch!! I love everything you paint, amazing to see this beautiful bear come to life in your meadow 😍 Amazing how much beautiful purple colors you used, in so many layers! I’m always struggling with that, my layers always smudge (or mix how do you call it) and then I see you paint all these layers *how does she do that* 😅 Do you use any medium in between? And I bet your students have so much fun there with you! (With fresh strawberries and whipped cream 😋) Thanks for sharing Suzanne!!
Oh Astrid. I do wish you lived closer. You could come ha g out and paint with us. Drink wine Eat strawberries with whipped cream and share painting techniques. You would fit in great with me and “my girls”. I painted with a more “direct method” of painting. That helps with not over blending. I only use Gamsol (odorless paint thinner) and linseed oil as a medium.
@@SuzanneBarrettJustisArtist Yes that would be so great! I enjoy watching your videos, you are by far my favorite artist and TH-camr. Thank you for all your work you put into your videos! Glad to see your subscribers growing, you deserve it!
Thanks so much for watching JM I love using a sword for longer grass and a dagger for shorter grass. I generally leave links to a lot of my brushes in the description of the videos. I hope that helps.
Oh. I have to use references. I did not take this photo but have permission to use but I can not post ...but when I am using my own references. I am always glad to share
Great job. showing how to use the eye to notice., and that when you started might look like others who start out , thinking HOW terrible their animal looks, but you worked through it, and it all falls into line. I had seen other just trace, enlarge and then transfer to their canvas. Your work is more loose, the way mine sort of looks, but ugh I have the habit to make it more realistic, Probably still hear in my ears not good enough. I don't know if your way was Easy for you, but that you HAD FUN. Your style is more loose, when I do it , I have to get the petals on the flowers, have get the lines in the leaves.
