What features of the WIRELESS GO II would you find most helpful? Or, if you already own the WIRELESS GO II what features do you find yourself using the most?
A ton of features in there that you do not get with the previous iteration. Just to name a few: two stand alone tiny audio recorders that allow you to use it even if your camera has no mic input but also if you need to shoot in a high RF environment. You can connect the receiver to your recording device via USB. In case of a smartphone, you can bypass the audio circuitry of the phone and record high quality, hiss-free, digital audio. It can be even stereo or you can have two tracks, eg your voice and an ambience mic that you can later mix however you want. You cannot record stereo or two tracks on a smartphone using any jack. You get software that lets you podcast and save the audio in multiple formats. I think it is a very good value package. The original WG was a tiny bit overpriced, I could find cheaper alternatives that performed equally as good or even better. The WG II currently only competes with the DJI Mic.
