Growing up in the bay it wasn't "acceptable" to listen to Wax because everybody fucked wit the Mob Figaz so I never even knew how dope Wax's music was. The blackball was real. I gave his music a listen around 5 years ago and have been a supporter ever since. Now I have Wax's entire discography and forreal every album/project is solid. He talks about mental health issues, dealing with the loss of a loved one, people turning their back and abandoning you..REAL life problems.
I am sure he would find it weird that some nerdy white country girl from the REAL northern california (hour north of Sacramento) loves him so much and can relate to him in a lot of ways. But I do. And he'll continue to be the only rapper in my catalog. Because why listen to anyone else when the best is right there?!!🏅🏆🥇
