Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu (1)

The Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu seems to be much less known than the Inca Trail (which is why we were able to book onto it a week before we went)... It follows a different route - going over Salkantay Pass, staying at a Hobbit House and camping opposite Machu Picchu on the way! It's also much less busy - we hardly saw anyone other than our little group for the whole 5 days, which you know is always a bonus for us!
This is our first of five episodes of the trek (the fourth and final one will be at actual Machu Picchu)...
