She wasn’t behind her success she actually just introduced her to the right people and Mariah took off from that point on and became bigger then she and her Brenda could’ve imaged and Brenda got bitter and upset and she wanted to use all of Mariah songs as her own which she wouldn’t allow her to do so but Brenda allowed her to remake her song and Mariah’s I still believe made a bigger impact and success then Brenda although Mariah gave her credit and shows tons of love to she she didn’t think Mariah did enough she wanted that house Mariah promised her but when your being controlled and married you the head of sony you can’t do much of anything

I just discovered Brenda this is the first time hearing her sing. This particular song for her isn’t easy on the ears. This vocal isn’t that good! I know they love each other but Brenda even said it herself, why is Mariah singing backup for her! She knew Mariah was more talented. She a household name. No hate but like I said I’ve never heard of Brenda before today and that says something!
I'm a Mariah's fan, but Brenda's belting technique is great. Her whole body is engaged in the belting effort. Her breath support is very good. There is no tension in the throat while singing loud and high, without mixing. In a certain way, she makes me think of Irene Cara. There are some off-key moments, due to the fact that she refuses to transitionize in head voice, but it's very courageous.
