Swing at 3-0 is still high risk high reward, especially with the bases loaded cause a walk is as productive and keeps the offense humming since they gotta pitch of the stretch and keep tabs on runners. It's more detrimental to your team than anything. So Texas should be happy he tried to swing sjnce he risk hitting into a DP

Another collection of great moments from the great game
    Highlights -
Commentary "Welcome To Slam Diego" thanks guys great call in the moment
Manny Crushed That Pitch So Sweet
Tatis says sorry for what ??? Playing baseball ( Just Play Son ) Batting is Instinctive he saw it he hit a loooooooooong way
Myers getting that great extension on great pitch to hit
Hosmer sitting on the first pitch and getting the job done
Saying a lot of things have to line up for this to happen is an understatement to say the least i mean the situations may come around every so often but 4 games in a row to have the opportunity come around to hit a grand slam and then actually be lucky enough for the stars to align for this to happen is a legendary moment that the Padre's will cherish for many years to come and last but not least thank you again & again & again Baseball for proving to me baseball truly is the greatest game of all

its crazy to think about the likelihood of everything lining up to this moment. first there had to be a season due to covid. then the players association and mlb had to come to a deal. then we happened to load the bases 4 games in a row, then we had to home run off of those 4 at bats with them loaded, done by 4 different players and i believe 3 dif pitchers but i could be wrong there, and tatis had to play the game normally. now we have to make history tomorrow and hit #5 against some cheaters showem how to really play the game.

As a San Diego native who came into this world the same year the Padres came into the Major League, I can say it was nice seeing these guys do some serious big league stuff before they're all inevitably traded off to other teams for a bunch of nobodies. It's just a matter of time. Fool me once...
Thanks for making a brief pitstop in San Diego guys.

When you’re proven wrong will you come back and admit it? The dads finally have an ownership team who’s willing to spend money. They’re paying Manny 300 mill for 10 years. They even went after Mookie with the hopes of locking him in with an even bigger contract than they gave manny. They paid Hosmer 150ish million and they’re already in talks for a Tatis extension. This ain’t the Padres team that you were born watching.

Yes, in the past we've never been able to hold on to talent. However, this era is completely different... the organization has proven that they're actually willing to spend the money to keep good players.
