This is panic, cardiac arrest, stroke, fear and death: the musical

Even though I'm definitely more terrified and scared of the Grunt because it's just a humanoid disfigured monster protecting the castle, the Brute chasing you down later in the game is very spooky. Especially in the sewer where you have to run past it. The music is epic too. They are more effective in their attacks as well, feel like the stronger and more dangerous enemy. The Grunt's face is hard to look at it's so ugly and creepy where the Brute have teeth for a face.

No way, the brute is more creepy! Since at some point in the story, ghosts of soldiers from the Thirty Years War were mentioned, roaming the woods disguised as wraiths dragging burlap sacks, which made me think of the grunt because it kinda resembles a burlap sack with humanoid features. To me, the grunt is more like a ghost, haunting, creepy but not disturbing. Not as disturbing as the brute which, on the other hand, seems to embody all the physical tortures and insanity that was breeding inside the castle all along. As if all the pain, suffering and grief were put into a monstruous body that cannot see, hear or speak, only growl and attack - for fear? To survive? Have you seen the brute sobbing when he's idle? Even crying seems to be impossible for him, but he's not forgotten the feeling.
Man, the brute is scary. There's the worst of humankind in him. He's a slave, a discarded piece of flesh, maimed, mutilated, consumed, and put back together, as if he could return to live again.

In terms of chase and danger soundtracks Amnesia and Penumbra both take the cake

Umukzus Gelos I think penumbra had the better chases in terms of actual terror like the worm chase. It wasn’t just about running and opening doors. It was physically impossible to outrun the worm so I had to close barriers to but enough time to be able to break the boards blocking u.

@@FangHeist225 Amnesia has that too though. In the flooded sections you have to shut doors to buy yourself enough time. The devs learned well from doing the Penumbra series and it's simply done in a more fluent fashion in Amnesia

@@JM_Traslo You mean a more fluid fashion?

@@FangHeist225 My guy, you just... explained the same thing twice. In Amnesia it's "just running and opening doors". In Penumbra it's "closing barriers to buy time", despite the fact that you do that exact thing in Amnesia, especially in the Justine DLC.
