Perfect timing, Patrick! My wife is picking up her brand new Hummingbird Fd from General RV this coming Saturday. We will use your video when we de-winteriz her trailer. Thanks again and you are a blessing to the travel trailer community... Sincerely, Frado
Great video. I have more requests for a dewinterize video than any other. I'm still battling snow so not quite yet ready to dewinterize. Happy travels, Lou
I missed the live stream :((( 11 grand children mixed with Easter weekend wreaks havoc on our home lol. Thanks for the reminder on de-winterizing.Time to get ours ready for this camping season.
Hope to de-winterize our T@B 400 in a couple weeks. Our area got snow again this morning, maybe this is winter's last hoorah?? Thanks for you concise videos, they are really helpful.
Kristine Mueller We’re in Texas but I saw that there was snow flakes again back in Indiana today. Not looking forward to going home this weekend after this 70-80 degree weather.
So thankful I found your guide, I have this exact trailer and trying to figure it all out! Just a question- the low drain point valves- are we turning it off before we go inside to flush the taps or at the end of the process? It was not specified when and I didnt know if it was when you had the writing in the video or after. Thanks!
So I do have one question. Can I just drain the pink stuff on my driveway and let it drain into the sewer? Or should I catch it in a bucket and dump-where?
Oh my gosh....Living in South Florida for 54 years, never seeing snow until a month ago when I visited my brother in Havana Illinois, I saw snow for the first time-how exciting. A person like myself having never experienced winter like that I wouldn't think of those things. Question.... When you are ready to take a trip do you just flush the lines with clean water? When cooking, showering, brushing your teeth, are there any concerns using the water? It's all new to me.Also,my husband is 6'3"...will that present issues with sleeping and overall fitting in other situations as well?
Yes, when we de-winterize, we just flush the lines with fresh water. I will typically at the start of the season sanitize the fresh water tank and lines using a mixture of bleach and fresh water. We don't drink the water out of the fresh water tank. Instead, we just always carry jugs of drinking water with us. I am 6' and have no issues so at 6'3", your husband should be fine. And the bed is the same length as a residential queen bed so that definitely is fine.
Greatly appreciate the quick response. I didn't realize this comment was in the dewinterize video,I thought I was still in the winterized video...me bad When I click on the playlist I don't look ahead(I guess I should get in the habit of doing that). I appreciate your videos, thank you.
Hi there, Thanks for the video, Since you first emptied the black and gray tanks, didnt you just add a diluted solution of antifreeze back in the tank as you ran it through the faucets? Did they need to be drained again? Thanks
Great video. We are in a new 2021 T@B 400 with the Nautilus system. It’s a little different than this setup. Do you know of a resource that would guide us as we de-winterize for the first time (just got it in early January 2021)?
Congratulations on the new T@B! You will love it. I am not aware of one yet however my guess is Jenn Grover Photography will have a video up on her channel in a few months when she dewinterizes her 320.
@@TravelswithDelaney Ok, thanks. I put question on the nuCamp forum and got lots of responses including a pretty good step by step instruction for dewinterizing the Nautilus system. Your videos have been so helpful and have help flatten our learning curve tremendously. Here’s a link to the forum: tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/comment/159631#Comment_159631
This video is awesome. I just bought my 400 and need to dewinterize before going out next week. It looked like you let it drain right onto the ground. Is that safe for plants and animals?
I watched your video on how to winterize and have a question. When you turn the hot water heater valve to bypass..does that empty the hot water heater? Does the antifreeze go into the heater after?
Once you bypass the water heater by turning the big red switch , you will need to drain it. In that same area, there are 3 valves you will open. 1 of those is the valve to drain the hot water heater. When you do the bypass valve, that keeps the antifreeze from going into the water heater.

Thank you and congratulations on the new trailer. I’m sure you’re going to make many great memories!
Love the way you share your knowledge, thank you for this!
Patrick and Patty, we just set off from Colorado Springs to AZ, but first we dewinterized our T@B 400 using your excellent video! Thanks so much!
. Thanks you explain that better than anybody else
William Sawyer Thank you!

Good informative video, you make it so easy and understandable.

Hey nice video mrs McCormick
Thank you. Finally makes sense.

You can always capture it in a bucket and then just flush it down your home toilet if you don't want it getting into the soil.

Denise Haley Thank you for watching!
When do we switch the yellow toggles inside under the bed to the on position?

I just leave it until we drain the tanks the first time out.
Good info!! Question...how would you go about making Tab a “4 season” RV?
Lisa Long I’d go south in the winter! LOL. Actually I’m not sure of you could. That would be a good question for NuCamp to see if that’s possible
Do you do the bleaching process after you did the De winterizing?

Thanks Patrick, just for me, Steve
Steven Miller It was short but hopefully still useful.
How long does the water pump need to run to create the suction needed to bring the water to the faucets?
Normally no more than a few seconds unless there is a lot of air in the lines....then if may sputter for awhile.
Couldn't flush the fluids on the ground here in Southern California!

Dont let it drain on the ground. Put a bucket under it then dump in sewage.

Travels with Delaney I see..thank you for clearing that up for me!
Well darn the next video in your series is on de-winterizing. Opps
Thanks. What do you guys use for drinking water?
Chris Hugo we just buy water in gallon jugs and water bottles.
I buy water jugs at Costco, then refill at Ice/Water stations along the way.
Having the Travel Trailer GUTS so accessible in your T@B 400 is missing/absent/non-existent in TT of other manufacturers.
I don't know why more trailer companies don't do this. It's really simple and a great feature to have on a trailer.
