The guy behind Allodium here, Thank you for all the kind words Boris! If/when I ever get a live lineup together, I’d love to share the stage with you 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dude, your single he played here kicks ass. Are you planning for more music similar to this or are you planning on experimenting with more diverse sounds? I listened to the lyric video on your channel and noticed the genre and subject matter was much different. I’d love to know what sort of stuff you’re cooking up. For now, I will leave this comment here.
Autrest and the other projects by the same musician (Windveill and Dispar) are beyond amazing! It’s great to see one of my favorite bands covered here :)
I love Allodium's bass development at the beginning and the guitar drives really nicely throughout the entire piece. Inventive Metal I would call it. Pretty likeable.
Timeless wounds.. that band is so fn sick man..but once again all of the bands were pretty damn good.. weltonbrand was kind of Lorna Shoreish, which isnt bad, but not my cup of tea really, but they were pretty good tho.. but Allodium, holyy shitt!! That guy is a monster.. unbelievably good stuff.. my favorite on this episode hands down man.. great reaction video Boris.. thanks for sharing.. cheers from Cincinnati Ohio USA 🇺🇸. 🤘🥁🤘
I've just now inducted Magistraal and Timeless Wounds into my Spotify metal playlist. Much enjoyment to be had in the future from those guys I hope. Keep it up.
I gotta say, Allodium was pretty fucking cool. Definitely a band I need to check out further. I love how they switch it up, they clearly care more about what they feel is right for the song than about genre definitions or arbitrary rules. There's influences from many different genres here (some parts even made me think of Pink Floyd) and some parts are nearly perfectly formed (the intro, for example). The songwriting may need a little more refinement in how to integrate the different sequences with each other and make the transitions more fluid, but overall this is very, very good already. Allodium, if you're reading this: much respect.
I thought all of these bands were very good. Autrest is on another level of greatness. Just an absolutely incredible album. All of the songs are so good. Love this project so much.
I'm more of a dark indie rock type/musician and have no idea how I ended up here, but I like it here, that's why I'm staying! 👍🏻 I really liked Autrest, I'll be keeping an eye on this band. 🤘🏻
"Very cool, it's great that young bands are trying to develop this direction of music. Thanks to them, we have something new and awesome to listen to. I love Black Metal! It helps to overcome the difficulties we have to fight against and, of course have a good time .Thank you for your channel! My respect."
Autrest is so great 👍🏻 when the album came out he was searching for a label and I thought this would be a great catch for NSP and so it happened 😁 Favourite song: Time is a river Also try his other great project Windveill, if you like Atmospheric Ambient Black Metal reminding of Lustre. Magistraal was new to me and I instantly liked it. The vocals remind me of so much great BM in the 90s.
Update: I just searched up Windveill and found that I had a already listened to half the album on the ABM Yt channel! Only I didn't know the band was connected to Autrest! LOVE IT!
Allodium is a lot like my own music, only they are SUPER black and I love it! Totally following Allodium!!! The art of the song has the shadow of a bear-skin cloaked, antlered Northman in the trees! BADASS!!!!!!!
Great review Boris, much luck in the near future my friend 🤘, keep up the new content, by the way my Spotify list is growing because of your recommendations 😂 🦹♀️🧟♂️
I like the first band, coming through with old Ensiferum meets Mork gryning. And some good Atmospheric black metal is great for any occasion. Not too big on the hardcore genres so I don't know how to gage those, I can't stay interested long enough to listen to them regularly. I felt the same way with a lot of punk music until I found some bands I could resonate with. Last band I'd call newgen-tech-black metal, whole album in one track, for the kids raised on 30second attention spans 🤣
Not a huge fan of black metal other than paara & venom but, I think after listening to these bands in this video I may be changing my mind on the genre.
I'm noticing a trend of ducking/sidechain compression (drums that push down all the rest at every blast like in dance music). That's a technique I personally despise, it sounds like a cheap pair of 1995 Creative speakers pushed to the limit at the point that the power LED dims at every bass drum hit. I much prefer a more natural dynamic like in Fallen by Burzum, or even an artificial but steady one like in Filosofem, instead of the pumping dancing sensation.
Hello my friend Boris!!!....Believe me this: You have to react to this Incredible Singer with the Most Insane Vocal Range of The World (7.5 Octaves)!!!...When I recommend Dimash to experts like you, sometimes they laugh and they look at me with that look that says "Have you gone crazy?...Nobody can sing like that"!!....And I smile and tell them "Do you want to bet your car?"...Of course after they hear him their faces say it all!!...Lol!!...They can't believe what they are seeing and hearing....So well, I want to invite you to make a reaction to this incredible singer, who is leaving all the experts with their jaws literally on the floor....In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"....Since then all this madness began on the internet, TH-cam and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet.!!.. It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano!!....You can see in TH-cam to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true!!...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide!!.....Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you!!...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...th-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/w-d-xo.html

I saw Kankar live in 2022 and it was the best BM-Concert ive been on. Along with Inquisition ;)

That's a good collection of new exciting band's, with darkness becoming our end. Patrick
Autrest are superb, just wish they had an LP insead of only CD. I only buy LPs.
Reacting to your one-man band: Finally listening to Night of Whispering Souls. SO. GOOD.
Allodium (the last band); easiest way to explain their sound:
Fallujah - The Flesh Prevails
