@@reaper8834 nid Ahmedabad is the first design collage in India. Basically the IIT of design in India. It ranks under top 50 design collages of the world. So it is best to persue design in India, after nid comes idc IIT Bombay. I don't know if nid has a batchelor in game design but it surely has a mastars in game design.

Bro degree is not that important you have to create good games and make good portfolio. I I'm doing BCA and purchased some game development course from Udemy, give 5hrs a day to learn and you will be job ready developer in 6 to 12 months, just don't stop, my family and relatives making fun of me making game and all and always comparing with there kid kahte rahte tere se jyada paise kama rahe hai and all. There are trash people like these but don't quit
there is no compulsion to have a degree you just have to acquire those skill to be a game designer( you can learn it from online or any other way ) but I actually exactly don't know what to do to be a game designer but bro keep exploring you will get what you want
