I've had 3 wagons. All 3 needed accumulators. We used to have a saying at Peach parts: "it's always the accumulators"! So plan on those also. I've rebuilt several valves, and it isn't hard. But listen!! Prepare yourself, maybe pop a sedative first, but when you go to reattach those two hydraulic fittings........ Prepare yourself and remain calm. Such a simple little thing was my biggest frustration thru 8 or 9 of those stupid cars! 😬
And after I fixed the sls and got it working, all 3 blew out the high pressure hose from the pump. I would take them to a hydraulic shop and they would cut and braise the fittings on to new hose. Way cheaper!

It’s been a few months since I rebuilt the valve. So far the system is working perfectly. I need to change the fluid and filter.

When I put my car in reverse it drops and when I put it in drive it raises is that normal?
That's a rear sway bar that the valve lever is attached to
