Wait wait wait I'm sorry I have to say this I enjoy hearing your videos they're very informative but as somebody who does study herbalism and aromatherapy, I have to say essential oils is not a blanket term.! Actually essential oils are so much more than just the oils that they extract because what it is is that little bottle of essential oils that little tiny bottle that you pay for it is so expensive because it takes 100 lb of rose petals to make 1 oz of rose essential oil. Now some of these are much easier to get and take much less from the plant to get some of these take much more to get. But the point that I'm making is essential oils are very very very very very very strong they should not ever be taken lightly it is not like peppermint extract or vanilla extract that you can get at the grocery store they are two totally different things, even when you go to get the oils like I have oregano oil that is not oregano essential oil because it is mixed with a carrier oil therefore making it so it is not nearly as strong. Essential oils are very very strong you have dogs and cats who sense of smell is so much stronger than ours, when they are smelling these essential oils it is so much stronger than it is to us. Not to mention if they lick them they're taking into them this concentrated amount so yes be very very very very very careful with essential oils around pets please. I'm not just talking about cats and dogs, birds, turtles, rats, hamsters, you get the hint all of our pets are furry babies. If you are in question ask somebody who knows research it. I have seen pets hurt by being exposed to pets.
This kind of inflammatory rhetoric regarding food toxicity for dogs has made me not take anything at face value. Isn’t there a chance that a dog could choke on an avocado seed? 😯
@@cricketnylund7329 she doesnt eat the skin at all, i try to avoid her getting seeds for this reason but she steels them from the bin. They've done no harm though thankfully.
I also don't think Sutton liked watching Erika and that guy looking like they were doing somthing. That was disgusting!
😮 whhaaaat? Lol
What amount of garlic per pound ?
1/2 of clove per 10 pound dog 4 times a week according to the Dr
Definitely interested in bone video
I might be misunderstanding something and hope someone can clear this up, but the label on the shampoo says "never tested on animals." In this case shouldn't it be better that it's been tested on animals so that we know it's safe for them to use? 🤔
It’s for animal rights protection. People didn’t like the idea to use animals to test cosmetic products before it’s used on people. So some brands try to appeal to this group of people that their products were not tested on animal’s because the company against animal cruelty or use of animals in various products testing
LoL A super spicy enchilada.... depends if its for a Mexican dog or not
Being a good loving parent means we give our children what they need, not what they want. Same with being a pet parent.
What about onions ?
Toxic
I have a cattle dog. When he was under 2 he had a great physical fit. I had a boyfriend for a few years who treated him with yummies more than I’d prefer… I think my dog is overweight, he says heelers are just husky
My dog still has form, but he has more fat than I’d prefer
And having a heeler is where my username comes from, cattle dog attitude 😂
I’ve been feeding my 3.5 year old dog avocado 🥑 as a healthy snack and she is HEALTHY!! Yes I was scared but if it’s healthy for humans than it has to be healthy for dogs in small amounts. IMO 🙏🏼 there would be a shortage on avocado if pet owners fed their pets avocados!! 😂
Hi I’m from the UK and my pet food merchant has told me that giving my dogs who are 14 month old Siberian husky’s something with fur on ie: rabbits feet is a natural dewormer. Has anyone else heard of this?
I do make sure my dogs (and cats) get some of their raw with the fur on. But I do it for the fiber. Maybe it helps sweep some worms out?
Only if first you shake it over their head while dancing on one foot and saying ooga booga.
When he says he doesn’t like “bones with the hole in the middle” is he talking about raw beef marrow bones? I thought those were good?
I've seen articles where the dog's lower jaw slips through the hole and can't get it off. It then requires an emergency vet visit and sometimes sedation to be able to safely remove it.
@@HeatherCurry-j8d wow I’ve never thought of that being a possibility. Luckily I have St Bernard’s so the likeliness of that happening is probably small since they’re jaws are too big to fit inside a marrow bone.
I actually had one of my huskies many years ago get her lower jaw stuck in the hole. It wasn’t fun! Anytime I get them I make sure the hole isn’t going to be an issue!
@@kimgottlieb6398 really? That’s so scary! I have Saint Bernards so their jaws are huge but I guess it’s still a possibility so I’ll definitely be mindful of that in the future!
Why you are on the subject, how about a discussion on ornamental plants that are dangerous to dogs.
I have heard that ASIAN breeds are more susceptible to anemia due to long term garlic consumption
Raw bones for puppies?
This kind of inflammatory rhetoric regarding food toxicity for dogs has made me not take anything at face value. I need to know the reasoning behind things - I was so annoyed when I realized that the reason why avocado was deemed toxic to dogs is because of the skin and the pit. Who feeds the skin and the pit?? It’s despicable.
I found it ironic that this guy was talking about a species appropriate diet, for the pets he treats, but he's a vegan!
Hey, just want to say kibble is not 100 years old. That gives it too much credit and I am a fresh, raw food feeder and have been for over 20 years. If you substract 1950 - 2023 = 73 years. ;))
Why would anyone feed avocado or any other vegetable to dogs?! They're carnivores!
I have 3 terriers and they choose to graze on low growing peas, cucumbers, and zucchini in my garden. They also dig up their own carrots, beets, and decimate the asparagus bed when they can break in thru the fence.
They have also eaten many of my winecap mushrooms.
This is natural for them to eat vegetables as well as fallen fruit.
Personally I can not STAND being around people who eat garlic. It is excreted thru their sweat and They reek! Do dogs fed garlic also smell?
Your concern of smell outweighs the health benefits? Am I miss understanding your comment?
I wash my dog’s paws and mouth and his pee pee with pH balancing, no fragrance, natural dog wash daily after his night walk. He’s healthy and never gets sick !
I would like to see bones
