Honestly, Lagos needs decongestion right now. It's the smallest and most congested city in Nigeria. If this isn't done, it will be difficult.

This is the second video I'm watching after the first one, and I'm not noticing no rubbish nepa wire that makes the place look tattered. The organizers of the estate really used the white people standards and its very good.
And I don't know why my mind is telling me this place looks better than that so-called banana island. I need to go back to banana island next week to confirm. But I feel it's better than banana island.

I think the overall planning of the community may have been inspired by communities in the US. That may be the reason there aren’t any front gates. I loved your video. Thanks for your hard work.

@@johnnwabuforudemezue1108 I have never been to Nigeria, but it looked like the neighborhood had lots of security. Are the front gates a necessity? I assumed the people that own property in this estate would have private security and the best surveillance system available to them.
@@achocolateangel I am not sure they do, the government does that already, even if they do, it's gonna be light security without weapons.
The area where this is built is on an island, one of the most secured place in Africa, you actually need go through a toll gate and the longest bridge in Africa to get there.

They really tried sticking to the rules. I have seen a video like this before im pretty sure it isnt in this estate. The open building concept is really cool and makes the whole estate really nice Aesthetically. 👌🏽

I am glad someone finally covered this estate. My first visit to this estate years back left me in awe. It was amazing to see Nigerians come up with such well thought out estate. Wondered why it couldn’t be the norm for all (of course that’s a function of money and value). The security, entire layout, power plan is so worth the price.

Hello Tolu! Happy birthday, belatedly. Hope you enjoyed your birthday.
The houses are massive and beautiful! I absolutely love the grounds and the greenery. Love the HOA directive that 40% of the property must be set aside for greenery. But even in this estate of expensive beautiful homes, you can see signs of lack of maintenance around some of the houses, thankfully not all of them. Some of the sidewalk/gutter covers are broken or popping up. The perimeter fences, the sidewalk/pavement, driveway concrete need to be power-washed badly and regularly, to get rid of that black mold. Some lawns need to be edged. Also, the owners of the empty lots should be made to maintain their lots by regularly mowing them. They are eyesores, and can invite unwanted vermin.
That recreational facility area is so unbecoming of such an estate.
I do love the houses though! They are massive and beautiful. With garages as well, awesome!

Wonderful video. Though I have a question. Ive watched many videos of people showing Lagos, or houses around Lagos and one thing Ive always noticed was how bad the roads are maintained. Even the sidewalks. I understand that city roads can be badly maintain, BUT why are private estate roads so bad? Sometimes I see videos of newly built neighborhods but the roads and sidewalks often look like they have been used for many years and are getting or already are bad.

These developers are supposed to build the sidewalks as part of corporate responsibility incorporated into building projects including drainage

W may keep our private car clean, but the buses are already messed up with three months of lunching...nobody cares, I dnt know why. I justcry every time.

I've been to a few estates in Lagos. And some irrespective of peoples socio- economic status, seem to have an egalitarian mentality devoid of unnecessary posturing.

The idea is almost like yankee neighborhood but then i see some things that reminds me its still lagos lol, people parking in the over grown bushes and some of the gutters look broken but nice place overall; one will definitely break the bank to purchase a property here. Tolu your head is there like they say in Lagos.
