Phone addiction is like any other addiction. It's never enough. Dopamine can lead human to depression and dont wanna do anything include eating or bathing. Our brain can release "nature" dopamine after hard working. And I believe that boredom can lead to your most brilliant ideas.

Watching this was so refreshing. These days time has been passing so quickly for me. I want to be able to enjoy my days and be more disciplined. I'm going to try this out once I'm done with classes. (Btw I loved the video/editing style it kinda made me feel like I went on the journey with you) Thank you Jusuf!

yess, I am happy you document this! It's actually the perfect time to explore our own mind and its creativity. It's fascinating how nature becomes 'entertaining' when you really start looking at it: fe. everyday a new leaf of flower pops up, meanwhile the birds help creating a rhythm, nature is like symphony, or a dance, and it makes me want to dance too.
Thank you for reminding me of it, it's like I always return to my phone in the end, why am I so attached to it? ok, this it it: tomorrow no-phone-day!

I have learned that feeling bored and unsettled is okay and normal. We cant always have a high. When that happens I just acknowledge it and lay with it and remember the times when I used to be bored but do mindless things. Its kind of a privilege now, to feel boredom

It's crazy, today I decided to turn off my phone until noon so I could be more present and less distracted during the morning and your dopamine research makes sense

You know what, yesterday I started to stop using my phone to go on Instagram and spend time ( waste time ) scrolling ohhhhmygod.
I watched someone painting and drawing and I drew the entire afternoon! It feel refreshing and I forgot how amazing I feel when doing it. I felt calmer and that’s what my brain needed. Thank u to inspire me so much Jusuf! Lots of love from France 🇫🇷❤️

This came at the perfect time! Starting a new week and am looking for ways to be more focused as I feel that my time is slipping away from me even though I seemingly have so much more of it now that we have this whole quarantine situation. Will be trying this out tomorrow - but in less of an extreme - will be removing any distracting apps from my phone, but will continue to use it so I can talk to my friends, becuase that's one of the only things keeping me sane right now. Keep up the great work, loving your content!❤

still at the very beginning of the video but what you wrote about usually cooking with music on and finding cooking in silence grounding stood out to me. i did a social media fast before easter and that was probably something that i learned a lot about - just cooking, cleaning, doing “regular things” and being comfortable with the thoughts that run thru my brain without such distraction. 🖤 definitely recommend!!

during quarantine, I became more obsessed with 'instant dopamine' because of fear of feeling anxiety. Which made me unproductive, lost and unhealthy. I've never heard of dopamine detox but sounds perfect to me! I actually don't do 'detox' kinda stuff because I'm not obsessed over things as mush as other people? But the moment I heard of this, I felt like this is the thing I need right now. Thank you for making an amazing video as always

I really liked the schedule you made. I agree one mistake is to allow ourselves to be distracted during our most productive hrs. Finding those hrs can be so helpful. I experienced a hurricane that left us without electricity for months. And I was forced to not be distracted with social media. And I feel like we shouldn't be forced. That it's actually healthy to be productive and be present in life.

  • @soomascorner
    @soomascorner 4 ปีที่แล้ว

This video was honestly a breath of fresh air. YES I LIKE THIS FORMAT! KEEP IT UP!
Quarantine has taught me that I'm always in a state of distraction because my mind takes me to crazy places so I just avoid it by consuming data all the time, and I've gotten used to believing that this is a productive thing. I think it's beneficial for people like us to take some time to get used to trying to control our somewhat uncontrollable mind and being more present! So yes... I think I might just do a dopamine detox as well.
Thank you for inspirating me 🤗 as always... I love your spirit.
    Sending you love 💜💜💜

I disappeared from socials and text (besides phone calls and podcasts/music) for a month before xmas break when I was really stressed. And it provided me alot of concentration and focus. Granted it made me sad, to disconnect from friends. But, I think it's a great way to transition and I might do it again as I try to figure out my plans to make the most out of self-isolation! Thanks for sharing

i really liked the style of this video!! it was a slow burn in a good way, like the video helped me feel grounded. I have heard about dopamine detox before and I will do this after Abitur for sure. It’s just, if I would do that now, I would become depressed without the distractions , realizing how I’m currently at 20 years old so not there, where I actually want to be.
I really liked this format better. It kinda had more substance behind it. Don’t get me wrong, I love your other videos as well, they are light and aesthetically pleasing, but this one felt more real on an emotional level:)

Appreciate the narrative. it's funny how i personally love that quietness in movie scenes, normal day activities been captured, in youtube videos too, the ambient sounds so pleasant, but with ourselves its most times not enough....i watched a detox dopamine video some months ago, and never took a day for it. your steps method feels nice, and already made a difference in your speech. Its amazing when i get in an observation mode of my own life, like if i was in a movie. need to work more towards that. thanks for getting in with the topic! willing to see how it was the boring ass day kkkkk will try myself for sure after that!

i love this. ive struggled to find my own system and its so easy to give into the same old same old of just entertainment and this dopamine desensitization/tolerance that I feel so identified with. thanks for this, seeing you do it in your way inspires me to do it in my way and try to document it even as personal data to find a way out of the cycle. Something I loved that u said was that really what we're doing isn't getting us where we want, because that's ultimately what we want. just to love our life. so thanks, love the format of the video. will look forward to the second and more to come pleeeease hahahhaha. something I've decided to do with this is make my own plan (I'm from Colombia and we just got notified that we'll have 21 more days of quarantine so i think that number is magical, i will no longer waste my time and build my systems. 21 days. challenge accepted) loveeeeee form Colombiaa xo

I would even avoid reading since imo my biggest dopamine release comes from reading. It takes me places while I'm remaining fixed. The only thing I would remain is maybe podcast because it's the most educational form of "entertainment" for me. Though it's not really entertainment, Infact I feel like it helps me feel even more grounded.
Thanks juss, you always help me find beauty in things I already owned. My mind, for example.
Sometimes I forget what's in my control.
