Honestly, I hate when people literally know your situation and wait until you’re in a position where you can’t even financially contribute to before they drop bombshells like this or kick you out Every time I hear a story like this is the same thing over and over again they were looking for a reason to get rid of you until you were in your vulnerable to insult to injury
The parents apparently thought the fact that their daughter was expecting was enough leverage to squeeze some money out of their daughter. The fact that the daughter didn't have the money to give was something the parents didn't seem to care about.
They waited until she was nearly due to give birth to highjack her with the changes the arrangements they'd agreed too. The grandmother does like her daughter, she knew what she was doing. The grandchildren don't need someone like that in their lives.
Family or not, forgiveness is a choice not an obligation. They should earn their daughter's trust back before demanding they be allowed to see their new grandson. Hope she stays strong.
Hate it when family shows no love to one person but when the person has children, they show up back into their lives. They're showing favoritism which is one of the things that destroy family bonds 😑
And where the Hell was the father in all of this? Why have a baby if you both can't keep it together? This all could of been avoided with her parents if she didn't get pregnant in the first place.
Did anyone else notice that when the grandparents came it was unannounced and with no gifts. They were consistently selfish. It’s sad that the father isn’t included in this but that is also a reality. Some pregnancy are carried alone by the mother.
They wanted to meet their grandson after they kicked out his mother a.k.a their own daughter. Not only did they kick out their daughter but their grandson too. The parents don't deserve to be grandparents. If they can abandon their daughter when she needed them the most, what makes you think they'll do same to their grandson
If I was a woman and my parents did this they would never even see a picture of that child let alone be in the same room as them no hearing no seeing no smelling nothing they would never even be able to sense a child. And they deserve no relationship what so ever. But where the father at that’s wat I’m wondering just curious what happened there.
I find it strange that parents kick out their daughters especially when they are at their most vulnerable. Then the grandparents want to meet the grandchild. I find it extremely odd behaviour.
If I was in her shoes, this is how it would be, On my way out with my belongings, and unborn child, I would have turned to them and look at them dead in their eyes and say, "Take a look at me, this is the last time you will be looking at me, or speaking to me, you are forever cut off from seeing me and my child." Take a few more steps and turn to them and tell them, "From this day forward, you are no more, my child will not know the A-HOLES I had for parents." I would leave and then I would block their numbers indefinitely, and no matter the amount of so called "Apologies, Entitlements, Truces, so-called change of hearts, etc" will change things that are now set, they have done the "Unforgiving." I will not accept anything coming from them, money, gifts etc, it will be sent back with a firm note of no contact. They will be left with them is the thought of "What was, What could have been, But is not."
I was on board with her action, until she purposely sent to the work……. Doxing is not appropriate…… she ,ostensibly all symptoms with me at that point ….. just now playing the victim
I would like to compliment her with a strength and courage to will to fight for her right. But I would like to know where is the father of her child? I think that is the most important question to ask.
The issue of where is the father raises a huge issue ignored by our politicians who want to jail women and doctors for abortions or even miscarriages. WHERE IS THE LAW FORCING MEN TO PROVIDE CHILD SUPPORT? Before eliminating women’s health choices and forcing them into poverty with an unwanted or medically challenged child…these self-same politicians need to address the issues of child support and governmental support for women and children in need after their careers are destroyed.
I think she made the right choice her parents didn't seem to care much about there grandson when they coldly through her out onto the streets so they don't get to play the grandparent card but I will acknowledge that doxing her parents was going a little to far.
I might have done the same thing if I were her. The parents didn't seem to have a problem talking shit about her. So she brought out the big guns. She knew they were egotists, and this would hit where it hurt most. As Emily said. It displayed the contrast of the kind of people they portrayed themselves as, and the people they actually were. Granted, there's a risk of being sued by the parents, but that would also be risky for them too. They risk putting a noose around their necks, they pursued a slander suit. In the end, they brought this on themselves.
Does Emily ever let her parents see their grandson? Perhaps in the park one day? I applaud her desire to stand on her own and protect her son, but still maybe some photos or videos? I made the huge mistake of putting aside all the crap my mom threw at me and let mom and dad visit my kids. Dad was great, mom is hated by my children. Dad died, mom moved in with us, and that hate solidified as more and more of mom’s awful selfish behavior came to light. So, think carefully, in. Some ways grandparent aré important. And my parents were the only ones they had.
Wow, what a story!!! There is a lot to unpack here as I can see things from the perspective of both parties. Let us start with the parents. I can understand the motivation of Emily's parents putting conditions on their assistance because from a societal standpoint, you really do not want single-mother households as the rule because the offspring from such -- especially the male offspring -- oftentimes grows up to become a huge headache and liability to the community. The male offspring often has contempt for women that manifests as physical violence or sexual promiscuity -- the latter of which mean multiple papa-maybe babies and baby mama family/court drama whose sole beneficiary is the family court system itself -- because he has no male mentorship in his life to get him on the right track; in contrast, the female offspring -- particularly if African-American cerebral software operates the family government -- is often behaved toward as a marital interloper by her mother and has a pathological attitude toward men that ranges from misandry to very delusional expectations because there is no male leadership to set the record straight. It is common knowledge community discourse among men about the dangers of engaging with such women; incidentally, I really would not be surprised if in time that came to include data about how to proactively identify such women at a distance so that men keep a wide berth. In the case of this story, Emily did not prosecute her due diligence about her son's father -- an indictment against her family government. Emily did not have driven home the importance of choosing with her cerebrum (not to be confused with her clitoris or cervix!!!) the man to whom she gets naked and opens her legs -- again, another indictment against her family government. Emily did not have explained the hefty post-natal maintenance regimen that a kid will demand of both her and her son's father -- yet another indictment against her family government. I believe that I have made my point obvious. Even though the buck for this situation rests heavily with Emily's family government for being grossly derelict with its duties, that in no way means Emily gets a free pass. It is widely known where babies come from; even if Emily never had that explained to her as a child, she is having prosecuted a live-action demonstration of the reproduction process which should have made it clear that it is she that has to incubate the child and will need male assistance to catalyze the post-natal maintenance of said child. I really would not be surprised if Emily chose her son's father over her parents' objection with her clitoris instead of her cerebrum; even though it was their dereliction that caused the whole situation in the first place, Emily's parents do have the right to protect their economy against external threats -- id est, Emily's poor discernment when it comes to men. Denying assistance near the conclusion of the pregnancy is not the way to enforce this lesson; what Emily's parents should have instead done is to make her sign a 45 month rental lease which stipulates that her lodging is contingent upon entry and participation into the workforce within 30 months of her son's birth, the excision of both ovaries along with her uterus immediately after her son is born, and that she permanently relinquishes custody of her son if she has not had child support established and enforced unto her son's father within the lease term. The whole moral of the story is that there needs to be advocacy for that little boy. Clearly, Emily is not going to advocate for him as she has once already got naked and opened her legs to a man that will not or cannot prosecute the necessary family government alongside her -- especially that which is necessary to optimize male offspring. We need to face the fact that we have created a society that is of long-standing misandry wherein a man is deemed evil if he enforces a border for the sake of his sanity -- exempli gratia, ejecting his wife and her offspring for destroying his house or for marital infidelity or to defend himself against a false accusation. We need to face the fact that we have created a society that is okay with a woman going berserk with jealousy upon seeing her ex-husband having moved on with his life. We need to face the fact that we have created a society that is okay with a bitter woman decreeing an empty belly for all of her children when one of her baby's father has food for only his offspring as per the legal requirement instead of for all the kids. Now could I be in error about the society in this story? Sure I could; still, from what I have had demonstrated of American society, I believe that I have made an accurate hypothesis about the cerebral software at play in the society featured in this story. Homelessness is a very cruel penalty; still, Emily needs to be held accountable. Emily needs to have it driven home that it is she that bears the consequences of opening her legs to a man that cannot or will not raise her son alongside her. If she is not made to relinquish her ovaries and uterus, Emily will again compute with her clitoris for a man that could possibly beat her up or even kill her if she tries to make him take responsibility for the baby.
She owes nothing to these toxic people that you've shown 🙄 the most strength and walking away isn't always bad especially when you have these type of parents. Next time treat people with respect 🙏 and you get what you 💯 deserve. Playing "but we're family card" sucks nah you deserve zero from her nasty grandparents 😤
In most countries slander and defamation is defined as an untrue or unjust accusation made with malicious intentions. So in most countries this would not meet the legal requirements necessary for it to be considered defamation. I think the only places where these parents would have leg to stand on would be place like Japan where they extend the legal definition to incorporate almost anything that harms someone's reputation regardless of how true it is.
Shoot my mom never got to meet her grandkids due to thean who spawn me nor unfortunately will she get to meet her great grand kids who will only see a picture of her.
you are now a single mom with a kid no guy wants to be used at a atm for your kid if it needs something it your kid till they do something wrong then it is not your kid and she will say shut up u have nothing to say i am his mom your just a friend
There are laws on the books that they can use if someone creates a situation where you loose your job and or defamed. Watch out internet hateful big mouths.
OK..Maybe it's just me..but you're grown and pregnant..and NO, you should not have moved back in if you had no expectation of contributing to the household. But that's the difference between being raised in the real world and the fantasy life you had growing up.
Emily is a bit entitled to expect her parents to take care of her for free. That said, if the parents wanted rent then they should have said so up front. The parents were jerks for not working out rent payments that were reasonable. Maybe start paying after the baby was born and Emily had a stable job. They were even bigger jerks for kicking her out in her time of need.
I was once in Emily shoes when it came to my father. There's no way I would let my dad ever meet my son. Even though he has no interest in him and my son is now 10 years old. It's not about sparing the glory details. You've been put through hell just to turn around and kiss butt when they want to meet your child. You're supposed to protect your child not subjugate them to that. You could spare glory parts all you want but the child will learn the truth in the end.
Sorry, but I can't really sympathize with the mother too much. She should've done all she could to hang on to the baby daddy instead of going for flings for quick gratifications!
How do you know she had a fling with the father? What if they had been together for a long time but he decided that he wasn't ready to be a father when she got pregnant? How do you know he's not dead? While children are a topic that should be discussed prior to a romantic/sexual relationship, unfortunately not everyone does that. It's wrong to try to force someone to enter into or stay in a relationship that they don't want to be in, even if they have a child together. That kind of relationship will be very unhealthy & maybe even abusive

People always throw out the family card when they want to take advantage of you!
How true
Don’t you love the relatives who tried to guilt her into allowing them to see the baby…where were they when she was homeless?
They couldn’t have any legal actions against you for the tagging in their workplace. If it’s true, then it isn’t slander.
Honestly, I hate when people literally know your situation and wait until you’re in a position where you can’t even financially contribute to before they drop bombshells like this or kick you out

Exactly
They shouldn't have been so terrible like that
She made a right choice to cut ties from her own parents and start a new life
Hate it when family shows no love to one person but when the person has children, they show up back into their lives.
They're showing favoritism which is one of the things that destroy family bonds 😑
I'll say, I wonder what happened to her husband?
Well, the parents made their decision, now they must live with their decision
Wouldn't trust them around my baby boy
What terrible parents!
Just no! They fed you to the wolves! Best interest? Tell the flying monkeys that they can forgive you for not showing your baby to your parents
And where the Hell was the father in all of this? Why have a baby if you both can't keep it together? This all could of been avoided with her parents if she didn't get pregnant in the first place.

Exactly!
With family like these, nobody needs enemies (or traitors).

Why is it always on the one who was slighted to forgive and forget, eff the parents because they have no right after what they did.
I find it strange that parents kick out their daughters especially when they are at their most vulnerable. Then the grandparents want to meet the grandchild.
I find it extremely odd behaviour.
🙋🏼♀️ You & me both….!! 💯👎🏼💔😏
Some parents (grandparents) are just filth.
I would have charged them money for Alex’s college fund! Just an idea
If I was in her shoes, this is how it would be, On my way out with my belongings, and unborn child, I would have turned to them and look at them dead in their eyes and say, "Take a look at me, this is the last time you will be looking at me, or speaking to me, you are forever cut off from seeing me and my child." Where is the father?
He walked out, f- - -k him.

If she started to work on line why didn’t she do that at her parents hours before the baby was born. Yet the parents could have let her pay them back
If they take legal steps that could be their worst step they make but be sure you tell the whole story so they don't come out smelling like roses
Next time call the police

Another selfish women . They did not kick her, just asked her to pitch in.
I was single mam live with my mam dad I payed rent to them It did bother me it not there job to look after you when you became a mam your self
Its not the parents job to take care of some one how got her self knock up .
close your legs next time girl.
OK..Maybe it's just me..but you're grown and pregnant..and NO, you should not have moved back in if you had no expectation of contributing to the household. But that's the difference between being raised in the real world and the fantasy life you had growing up.
bla bla bla... the writing is terrible, padded like a sixth-grader's essay trying somehow to get to 500 words.
Uh, The parents didn't get knocked up. To expect mommy and daddy to pay your way while you screw around, that's pretty entitled.
Emily is a bit entitled to expect her parents to take care of her for free. That said, if the parents wanted rent then they should have said so up front. The parents were jerks for not working out rent payments that were reasonable. Maybe start paying after the baby was born and Emily had a stable job. If I was in Emily's shoes, I would have tolerated my parents despite everything and spared Alex the gory details. It's called maintaining appearances.
Hell no.
No. "Keeping up appearances" is what kept both women and children subjugated for hundreds of years.
I was once in Emily shoes when it came to my father. There's no way I would let my dad ever meet my son. Even though he has no interest in him and my son is now 10 years old.
